Strong Sales Growth for Lexus India in 2025 Driven by the LM and LX

Due in significant part to increased demand for its flagship LM luxury MPV and LX SUV, Lexus India saw a robust sales performance in 2025. Customers looking for chauffeur-focused comfort and luxury SUV capability were drawn to these high-end vehicles, which made up a sizeable portion of the brand's total sales. The rise is a reflection of India's growing demand for ultra-luxury cars, where buyers value sophistication, cutting-edge technology, and a more exclusive ownership experience.

  • In 2025, Lexus India's premium LM and LX models saw a significant increase in sales.

  • Additionally, the RX SUV showed strong growth and made a substantial contribution to the brand's overall sales mix.

According to Lexus India, the ultra-luxury LM and LX models at the top of the brand's lineup saw a 50% year-over-year gain in 2025. These two together made up around 19% of the company's annual sales, demonstrating the continued strong demand in the nation for high-end SUVs and premium chauffeur-driven mobility.

Customers seeking elegant comfort and roomy interiors continue to be drawn to the LM 350h luxury MPV; those wanting chauffeur-oriented travel experiences will find it especially tempting.

High-net-worth consumers' attention is sustained by the LX 500d big SUV, which blends luxury with the capability anticipated from a premium SUV.

SUV Demand Continues to Be High

Lexus's RX SUV significantly influenced the company's sales trend in addition to the LM and LX. Sales of the RX increased by 18% from 2024 to 2025, accounting for almost 22% of all Lexus India sales. This highlights how Indian consumers continue to favour high-end SUVs because they appreciate sophisticated driving dynamics, hybrid drivetrains, and cutting-edge technology.

Lexus's Market Share in India

Since entering the Indian market in 2017, Lexus has been selling a variety of vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, and the LM premium MPV. As part of the brand's larger electric mobility plan, several of these include self-charging hybrid powertrains.

One of Lexus's most well-liked models in the nation is still the locally built ES 300h sedan, which contributes to the brand's overall sales mix.

The impressive results of flagship models like the LM and LX in 2025 are indicative of an expanding group of wealthy Indian consumers who are adopting high-end mobility solutions. As Lexus continues to grow its presence and product line in the Indian market, this trend is anticipated to have an impact on its strategy.
