Features, Engines, and Value of the Kia Seltos HTE (O) Variant Described

For consumers looking for the brand's well-liked SUV experience without the high price tag, the Kia Seltos HTE (O) stands out as a wise option. It combines contemporary styling, a well-equipped cabin, and dependable gasoline and diesel engines. It is situated slightly above the standard trim. In the competitive midsize SUV market, the HTE (O) seeks to achieve a fine balance between price, comfort, and practicality with well-considered features that enhance everyday usability.

  • A closer look at what the 2026 Seltos lineup's base, well-equipped Kia Seltos HTE (O) model has to offer.

  • The HTE (O) strikes a compromise between features, price, and usefulness for regular consumers.

With a wide selection of variants, Kia's all-new Seltos has been introduced in India. The petrol model starts at about Rs. 12.09 lakh, while the diesel model costs Rs. 12.59 lakh (ex-showroom).

While high-end versions receive a lot of attention, the HTE (O) variant stands slightly above the absolute basic and offers many desirable features without going over budget.

Practical Design and Intelligent Exterior

The HTE (O) has a simpler style cue than other trim levels, although it still has the Seltos' trademark SUV exterior. It has 16-inch wheel covers, halogen headlights, and body-coloured mirrors that give it a polished, functional appearance without the shine of alloy wheels. A high-end touch is ensured by connected LED tail lighting.

Comfortable Interior Design and Important Features

The HTE (O) is surprising for a base variation inside. The cabin has a contemporary dual-screen arrangement. The dashboard has dual-tone upholstery in both rows and a classy grey-and-silver finish.

Important features include power mirrors and windows, keyless entry, and dual USB-C chargers for front and rear passengers. The HTE (O) improves everyday usage by adding useful features like seat-back pockets and split-folding rear seats.

Driving Options and Engine Selections

The 1.5-liter gasoline and 1.5-liter diesel engines, each with a six-speed manual gearbox, are available to buyers. Although automated alternatives are restricted higher up the ladder, this provides flexibility for individuals who prefer either fuel type.

Value Proposition: Cost-effective Without Being Essential

The HTE (O) variation stands out due to the harmony it achieves between price and content. It offers a wide range of everyday conveniences and a roomy cabin that can compete with some higher-spec sub-compact SUVs and even mid-segment competitors, but lacks the sophisticated driver-assistance technologies featured in more expensive models.
