Hyundai Creta Ev To Debut At Bharat Mobility Expo 2025

Hyundai Creta EV to Debut at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025

Hyundai is all set to electrify the Indian mid-size SUV market with the much-anticipated launch of the Hyundai Creta EV. The new electric avatar of the popular Creta SUV will make its grand debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January.

Known for its dominance in the internal combustion engine (ICE) SUV segment, Hyundai aims to replicate this success in the EV market with the Creta EV.

Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India, revealed this exciting news at a recent investor event, hinting at Hyundai's big plans for the electric vehicle (EV) segment. With competition heating up in the EV space, the Creta EV is Hyundai’s ticket to staying ahead of the curve.

Stylish Tweaks and EV-Specific Design

The Hyundai Creta EV retains much of its classic charm while incorporating thoughtful updates tailored for an electric SUV. Recent spy shots of the Creta EV test mule suggest subtle yet effective design changes.

The EV model will feature a closed front grille, a hallmark of electric cars, and aerodynamic alloy wheels to boost efficiency. At the back, a mildly redesigned rear bumper will flaunt the distinctive Creta EV badge, setting it apart from its ICE counterpart. While the changes are not revolutionary, they align with Hyundai’s strategy of blending familiarity with innovation.

A Modern, Feature-Rich Cabin

Step inside the Creta EV, and you’ll find a cabin inspired by Hyundai's premium Alcazar. The interiors strike a balance between sophistication and practicality, promising a comfortable driving experience.

A brand-new three-spoke steering wheel and a modern drive selector headline the updates. The center console offers convenient features, including twin cupholders, buttons for electronic parking brakes with auto hold, and controls for ventilated seats. Drivers can also enjoy a 360-degree camera view for added safety.

Key interior highlights include:

  • Twin 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and driver information.

  • Wireless phone charging for convenience.

  • Automatic climate control, ensuring optimum cabin comfort.

Whether for daily commutes or long drives, the Creta EV’s interior promises to enhance the driving experience with thoughtful design and cutting-edge technology.

Impressive Specifications to Rival the Best

Under the hood or rather, under the floor Hyundai equips the Creta EV with a 45 kWh battery pack, offering an estimated range of up to 500 km on a single charge. This positions the Creta EV as a strong contender in the mid-size EV SUV market.

Here’s how the Creta EV stacks up against its competition:

  • Tata Curvv EV: The expected entry-level range matches the Creta EV.

  • MG ZS EV: Features a slightly larger 50.3 kWh battery pack.

  • Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Offers two battery options, with higher trims delivering up to 181 bhp and all-wheel-drive capability.

The Creta EV’s performance specs ensure it stays competitive in terms of both power and range, making it a compelling option for eco-conscious drivers.

Safety and Advanced Features

Hyundai doesn’t cut corners when it comes to safety. The Creta EV will come equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), ensuring a safe and seamless driving experience.

Key safety features include:

  • Six airbags for enhanced passenger protection.

  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) to avoid road mishaps.

  • Hill Start Assist Control and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) for better maneuverability.

  • Front parking sensors make urban driving more convenient.

These advanced features make the Creta EV a tech-savvy choice for modern drivers.

Taking the Streets by Storm: Testing Spotted in Varanasi

Hyundai’s push for EV dominance has been evident from recent testing activities. The Creta EV, alongside the Kia Carens EV, was spotted undergoing road tests in Varanasi. These sightings have fueled excitement among EV enthusiasts, providing a sneak peek into Hyundai’s commitment to delivering reliable and high-performance electric vehicles.

The Road Ahead for Hyundai

With the Creta EV, Hyundai is not just launching a car: it’s setting the stage for a significant shift in India’s EV market. By leveraging Creta’s established brand value and blending it with innovative electric technology, Hyundai is making a bold statement.

As the competition tightens with rivals like Tata, MG, and Maruti, the Creta EV is expected to carve its niche by offering a well-rounded package of range, features, and safety.

Hence, The Hyundai Creta EV isn’t just another electric car—it’s a promise of the future. Combining Hyundai’s trusted engineering with cutting-edge EV features, this launch marks a turning point for the mid-size SUV segment in India.

As we gear up for the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, all eyes are on Hyundai to see how the Creta EV performs in the real world. If the initial buzz is any indication, this electric SUV is poised to become a favorite among eco-conscious drivers, offering style, performance, and sustainability in one sleek package.

Whether you’re an EV enthusiast or a Creta loyalist, the Creta EV promises a new driving experience worth the wait.
