Mahindra XEV 9e to Be Unveiled Tomorrow in India, Alongside BE 6e

Mahindra is set to unveil its much-anticipated XEV 9e tomorrow, 26 November 2024, at the Unlimit India event. This electric vehicle marks a significant milestone in the brand’s journey into the EV market and is expected to be showcased alongside the BE 6e, further elevating Mahindra's EV portfolio. The XEV 9e will serve as a high-performance, electrified variant of the popular XUV700, but with a coupe-inspired design, offering a blend of futuristic technology and modern aesthetics.

What to Expect?

Underpinned by Mahindra's cutting-edge INGLO platform, the XEV 9e is expected to be a major player in the electric SUV market. The new platform is not only the backbone for the XEV 9e but will also be the foundation for a variety of upcoming EVs from Mahindra. The XEV 9e will showcase an array of distinctive design elements that will make it stand out in the crowded EV market.

The car’s exterior design features a sporty coupe silhouette with a sloping roofline, new headlamps, and updated front and rear bumpers. LED light bars at the front and rear, dual-tone alloy wheels, and a blanked-off grille further enhance its futuristic appeal. These elements combine to create a sleek and stylish SUV that is sure to capture the attention of Indian consumers looking for a blend of style and performance in their electric vehicles.

On the inside, the XEV 9e offers a premium and high-tech cabin. It will come equipped with a three-screen dashboard setup, a two-spoke steering wheel, and a fresh gear lever, providing a futuristic feel. Other comfort features include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and auto-dimming IRVM. The cabin also boasts updated seats and upholstery, reflecting Mahindra’s commitment to offering both style and comfort in its EV offerings.

In terms of performance, the XEV 9e will be offered with two battery pack options—59kWh and 79kWh—allowing buyers to choose based on their range and power requirements. The car will likely feature both single and dual-motor setups, with power outputs ranging from 228bhp to 281bhp. Additionally, the XEV 9e is expected to offer rapid charging capabilities, with a 20-80% charge in just 20 minutes using a 175kW DC fast charger.
