Hyundai Creta Electric: Game-Changing EV with 473 Km Range, ADAS, and More

Hyundai's Creta Electric promises to revolutionize the Indian EV market with its 473 km range, cutting-edge ADAS, and luxurious features. Set for launch at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, the SUV blends advanced technology with iconic design, making it a compelling choice for eco-conscious buyers.

Hyundai Motor India teased the Creta Electric and has announced that the car will be officially previewed at the upcoming Hyundai Stall at the Bharat Mobility Expo, New Delhi on 17th January 2025. The unveiling was announced through a power-packed TV commercial with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan that showcases the SUV and the path that Hyundai is following to ensure eco-friendliness in mobility.

Unmatched Performance and Range

Hyundai Creta Electric as far as power is concerned is quite a potent auto that is powered by a 51.4 kWh battery and has a range of 473 km that can be driven without recharging. To start with the economical buyers, there is a new 42 kWh battery pack that gives a sufficient range of 390km.

Performance is equally remarkable:

  • Performance: A performance that propels it from zero to one hundred kilometres in just as you wait for the seventh bead of the time counting that reaches only 7.9 seconds.

  • Fast Charging: 10-80% in just 58 minutes.

  • Regenerative Braking: Is useful when creating data during drives.

The Creta Electric gives sheer power with sustainability with R17 aero alloy wheels and low rolling resistance tires for powerful aerodynamics and power use.

Futuristic Features and Design

Retaining the essence of the ICE-powered Creta, the Electric variant introduces several EV-specific updates:

  • Integrated Closed Off Grille for aero efficiency.

  • Active Air Flaps (AAF) to improve cooling and airflow.

  • LED Tail lamps are specially conceptualized as Connected Lamps and horizontally placed LED, indicators showing superior style.

Premium Interiors

Like its chief electric predecessor, Hyundai Ioniq 5, the most important parameters of which were defined by the brand’s electrification leader, the Creta Electric has:

  • The car’s digital driver cluster is 10.25 inches and so is the infotainment screen.

  • In addition the following equipment is available for an additional charge Panoramic tilt/slide sunroof with power feature and Voice command controls.

  • When it comes to music, high intensity sound speakers from Bose make the users go to a theatre type of sound.

  • The second level of ADAS are adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking.

Safety and Convenience

Hyundai has equipped the Creta Electric with advanced safety features, including:

  • Six airbags.

  • PTZ or 360-degree camera for all round visibility.

  • Digital key for no hassle and less time entry.

  • Powered Tailgate on demand for comfort.

It also incorporates Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, which allows the car to charge external equipment – a first for the classic SUV market.

Pricing and Competition

Its starting price is expected to be ₹15 lakh (ex-showroom), closer to rivals like the Tata Curvv.ev, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6, and Maruti eVitara.

Being locally produced at Hyundai’s Chennai plant they have mapped out some advantages as regards reduced supply chain cost. It also has an 8-year/160,000 km battery warranty to support the company’s confidence in the sturdiness of the brand.

Charging Ecosystem

They have traced more than 10,000 EV charging stations on the myHyundai application and a smart connected home charger eliminates any hurdles associated with charging at home, making it easy to transition to electric cars.
