Hyundai Motor India, the second largest passenger vehicle manufacturer in the country, is putting in place preparations for presenting leading-edge products and technology in the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show, slated for January.
The star of the show will be the long-awaited Hyundai Creta EV, which is to be announced in terms of price on January 17.
In addition, Hyundai's existing products and possibly some from its international portfolio are to showcase and demonstrate the brand's innovation and capability.
Although the official details of the entire Hyundai show lineup have yet to be revealed, all eyes are on the Hyundai Creta EV.
Hyundai Creta EV: The Star of the Show
The electric Hyundai Creta is expected to get a 45kWh battery with an electric motor mounted at the front axle.
Some specs include:
Power Output: 138bhp
Torque Output: 255Nm
The powertrain is similar to that of the vastly successful Hyundai Kona EV, and thus, the Creta EV is expected to offer a range of more than 350km on a single charge.
Interior Highlights
The Creta EV will feature distinct design elements and upgrades within the cabin:
A brand-new steering wheel with three spokes replaces the flat-bottom unit on its fossil-fuel-powered alternative.
HVAC controls are shared with the new Alcazar.
Updated center console with:
Physical buttons for cooled seats.
Two cupholders.
Auto hold and electronic parking brake.
360-degree camera.
Drive selector controller near the steering column.
Some features will basically remain from the ICE-driven Creta; hence, they will still be familiar to and comfortable for customers of Hyundai.
Visual and Design Approach Change
The Creta EV will have a fresh design that sets it apart from the ICE version due to:
Increased aerodynamics through a sealed-off grille.
Front and rear bumpers redesigned.
New designs in alloy wheels.
EV badges on the front and rear.
New-Gen Venue to Launch in Second Half of 2025
Apart from the Creta EV, the new-generation Venue is expected to launch in the second half of 2025 from Hyundai. The exterior and interior of this subcompact SUV will be greatly updated whereas the current engine lineup is predicted to be carried over.
