The Creta, an SUV that has already become a blockbuster by Hyundai, has aptly completed 10 successful years in the Indian market. Hyundai Motor India is marking a milestone as its best-selling SUV, the Creta is marking 10 years in the Indian market.

The Creta debuted in 2015 and has soon become a popular choice among car consumers in India, establishing standards in terms of design, equipment and performance.

Hyundai has in the last ten years sold more than 12 lakh Creta, and the SUV is one of the most successful SUVs in the country.

Three Generations of Ever-New Evolution

The Creta was launched in the first generation in 2015 and it was the start of the franchise with a modern design and high-end interaction.

In 2020, Hyundai released the second-gen version of the Creta that changed the car with a more adventurous design and brand-new tech. The third model was launched in 2024 and refined the formula with more new features, sharpened styling and better powertrains.

Along with the updates, Hyundai also introduced two special packages to keep consumers interested in the model, boyish and novel. These would be the Knight Edition, which was released in 2022, and the Adventure Edition, released in 2024; both of them have been well perceived.

Options and prices of Powertrains

The latest generation of Creta comes with both petrol and diesel engines, replacing the earlier generation that only had a diesel engine. Its internal combustion models are also competitively priced, with the starting price of 11.11 lakh on the ex-showroom.

Staying with the trend of electric in the industry, Hyundai has added another i.e., Creta EV, which costs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric version is supposed to address the increasing need in green mobility that still expects to retain the strength of the SUV.

A Leader In The Market, Which Continues Developing

Now in its second decade, Hyundai Creta is sure to reign the roads of India as it has already supremely gained popularity, is regularly updated frequently, and has since had its variants increased making the SUV all the more popular.

This 10 year milestone further goes on to underline that Creta is indeed a true icon in the Indian automotive environment.
