MG M9 Electric MPV launched at 69.90 Lakh on July 21!

The MG M9 is the first all-electric luxury MPV launched in India, with a combination of futuristic aesthetics, unbeatable comfort in the back seat, and luxurious features. The M9 delivers major competition against the other big MPVs like the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire with a starting price of 69.90 lakh.

With its attractive price tag of 69.90 lakh ex-showroom, MG Motor India has launched its first premium car MG M9 electric luxury MPV, which promises to be the most expensive to date.

Being sold only in MG's luxury Select dealerships, the M9 is the first-ever all-electric luxury MPV in India, targeting consumers who prefer extreme comfort with a green conscience.

A New Standard of Luxury MPVs

M9 has slick but boxy proportions, 19-inch alloy wheels, and full-width LED lights, all of which give its practical shape some degree of sophistication. The chrome strips, interlinked tail-lamps, and slick design features indicate how MG cared about the style and chic.

It is a wheeled lounge inside. The rear-seat comfort in its 6-seat design with reclining second-row captain chairs and deployable ottomans is second to none.

The premium feel in the cabin is boosted by the cognac brown leather-suede upholstery, floating centre console, 12.23-inch infotainment screen and digital driver display.

Tech-Rich & Safety-Loaded

The M9 has luxury technology in all aspects, including dual sunroofs, powered and ventilated seats, and massage feature, 13 13-speaker JBL sound system, and wireless smartphone connectivity.

It also comes with 7 airbags, Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, TPMS, and ESP. Although it is not tested in Bharat NCAP yet, it already has a 5-star rating in Euro NCAP and ANCAP.

Battery, Range & Charging Capabilities

The M9 is equipped with a 90 kWh NMC battery in conjunction with a 245hp single front e-motor that produces 350Nm of torque. It has a certified MIDC range of 548km, and can be charged at either 160kW contested/fast charging, filling up its battery (0-100 percent) in 90 mins, or at 11kW contested/slow charging, filling up in 10 hours.

The MG M9 is available at the price that ranks between the Kia Carnival and the Toyota Vellfire, offering itself as an eco-friendly, advanced, and luxury MPV. The launch marks the increased emphasis by MG on electric mobility and more particularly at the premium end of the automotive market in India.
