The New Maruti e-Vitara Electric SUV Is All Set To Be Launched!

Maruti Suzuki has confirmed the launch date of their new and first electric SUV, the e-Vitara. Expected to offer a range of 550 km, this SUV will be equipped with high-tech, premium and luxury features. Launch set for September 03.

Recently, Maruti Suzuki officially confirmed the launch of their first all-electric model, the e-Vitara Electric SUV, on 3rd September in India. The New e-Vitara SUV has been under development for a few years now and is a part of the four BEVs by Maruti Suzuki, which they plan to introduce by 2030. This new launch marks Maruti’s entry in the EV market and it is expected to be their key product for the brand’s future line-up.

Range and Battery Pack Options

Customers of the 2025 Maruti e-Vitara will be able to choose from two battery pack options – 48.8kWh and 61.1kWh. The larger battery pack will return a claimed range of 500km on a single charge. While the international version gets an optional 4WD configuration, the India-spec car will only be available in the 2WD guise.

High-Tech Features And More

e-Vitara is made with many high-tech and luxury features, making it a next-gen SUV. This is also Maruti Suzuki’s first car in India to get an ADAS suite with the feature of Level 2 version.

Some of the key features are

  • 360-degree camera

  • Ventilated seats in front

  • Two-spoke steering wheel and electric sunroof

  • 10-way powered driver’s seat and LED projector headlamps

  • Automatic climate control and rear AC vents

  • Seven airbags

  • 10.1-inch driver’s display and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen

  • 18-inch alloy wheels

As the production form was showcased at the Auto Expo earlier this year, this new model will come in 10 colours with three variants, giving the customers the option to choose from as per their liking and budget.

Maruti e Vitara SUV: Cost and Rivals

The price is not officially announced yet and is expected to be announced in the first week of September. But as per the reports, the prices are expected to start from Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Talking about the competition for e-Vitara, the new SUV will directly compete with premium electric SUVs like the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta EV and the MG ZS EV.

e-Vitara SUV, a new vehicle in Maruti Suzuki’s line-up will be the first electric SUV in their range. Which is about to launch on 3rd September in India. This will be a high-tech premium SUV with the claimed range of up to 550km and will mark as the brand’s official entry into Indian EV segment.
