Hyundai Alcazar Facelift India Launch On 9 September What We Know So Far

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift India Launch on 9 September: What We Know So Far

Earlier this year, Hyundai introduced significant design and feature updates to the second-generation Creta. Now, the logical progression is being followed with the Hyundai Alcazar, which is set to receive similar enhancements. The facelifted version of the Alcazar has been officially unveiled, and the price announcement is scheduled for 9 September. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming launch.

In terms of exterior design, the overall shape of the Alcazar remains unchanged, but it now adopts Hyundai's latest global design language, which is most prominently seen on the updated Creta. The front of the SUV retains its robust and bulky frame but features new low-set headlamps and distinctive H-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs). Along the sides, the Alcazar is fitted with new 18-inch alloy wheels that have a fan-like pattern, adding to its visual appeal. The most significant changes are found at the rear, where Hyundai has introduced its signature connected tail lamps with stacked elements, a new rear spoiler, a high-mounted stop lamp, and a redesigned bash plate. Despite these design updates, the dimensions of the Alcazar remain the same, maintaining its imposing presence on the road.

The facelifted Alcazar will continue to be offered in several variants, including Prestige, Platinum, Signature, and a new Executive trim, for both petrol and diesel versions. The manual transmission (MT) option is available only for the Prestige, Platinum, and Executive trims. Customers can choose from seven single-tone color options, with Atlas White paired with a black roof being the only dual-tone option available.

Under the hood, the facelifted Alcazar will retain the same powertrains as its predecessor. It will be available with a 1.5-litre GDI turbo petrol engine that produces 158bhp and 253 Nm of torque, paired with either a six-speed manual transmission (MT) or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The 1.5-litre diesel engine, which is shared with other Hyundai models like the Venue, generates 113bhp and 250 Nm of torque and can be mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission (AT).

The interior of the facelifted Alcazar offers a range of features designed to enhance comfort and convenience. The cabin, which is available in a beige over black color scheme, includes a panoramic sunroof, adjustable under-thigh support, powered front seats, dual digital screens, ventilated second-row seats, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Additional features include seat back tray tables, adjustable headrests, central AC vents, dual USB-C charging ports, connected car technology, and a full LED lighting package.

As for pricing, the facelifted Alcazar is expected to see a minor price increase over the outgoing model, considering the new features and design enhancements. The updated SUV will compete with the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector Plus in the Indian market.

The Hyundai Alcazar facelift will be officially launched in India on 9 September, and it promises to build on the success of its predecessor with a host of new features and a fresh design. Stay tuned for more updates as the launch date approaches.
