Force Gurkha will be going to be a 5-five-door car that is planning to launch soon, after finally completing its testing two years ago. The event occurred just before Mahindra planned to introduce the Thar 5-door to the nation. August 15, 2024, has reportedly been selected as the launch date for the same. The corporation has released a teaser on the internet, hinting at some of the important features and design elements, in anticipation of the launch, which is set for this month's end.
Interior Updates:
The most recent brief teaser video suggests that Gurkha versions in the future will have more features than the current model. The larger (and potentially more sophisticated) touchscreen infotainment system and the entirely digital TFT instrument panel that replaces the analog unit are two of the new Gurkha's interior feature highlights.
With a bench seat in the second row and foldable jump seats in the third, the five-door model will have three rows of seating. This will allow for extra boot room. To draw in more customers, high-quality materials are anticipated for the inside. In all probability, this will only be available in the longer 5-seat version of Gurkha.

Exteriors Updates:
Highlights from the last teaser included the vehicle's distinctive round LED headlights with integrated circular LED DRLs, vertical LED taillamp clusters, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a spare wheel positioned on the tailgate, and reprofiled front and rear bumpers. A lifestyle adventure vehicle's appeal is further enhanced by accessories like a snorkel, jerry cans, and a baggage rack on the roof. The side profile will feature heavy cladding, making it look more bolder and aggressive than before.
Powertrain Updates:
It is expected that The Gurkha 5-door will be powered by the Mercedes-Benz 2.6-liter, four-cylinder turbo diesel engine, producing 90 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, which will power both the 5-door and the 3-door Gurka. It is only used in conjunction with a five-speed transmission. A low-range transfer case distributes power to each of the four wheels. Front and rear mechanical locking differentials improve off-roading performance.
Once launched, the SUV will directly compete with the Mahindra’s upcoming Thar 5-door and rival the Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
