Exciting New Cars to Watch Out for This 2024 Festive Season Under Rs 20 Lakh

As the 2024 festive season approaches, car enthusiasts have plenty to look forward to, especially those looking to upgrade within a budget of Rs 20 lakh. This festive season is set to witness a wave of new launches across multiple segments, from stylish sedans to electrifying SUVs. Here’s a roundup of six cars expected to launch soon, each offering something unique for Indian buyers.

Tata Curvv: A Bold New SUV Coupe

Launch Date: September 2, 2024
Expected Price: Rs 10.50 lakh

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the ICE (internal combustion engine) version of its futuristic SUV coupe, the Tata Curvv. The Curvv, previously launched in an electric avatar, is now set to make its mark in the petrol and diesel segments. With aggressive styling and features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and ventilated front seats, the Curvv promises to be a game-changer. It will also be the first mass-market car in India to offer a diesel engine with a DCT gearbox. Buyers can expect a blend of style and performance, with Tata's new 1.2-litre T-GDi petrol engine adding excitement to the mix.

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift: A Premium Three-Row SUV

Launch Date: September 9, 2024
Expected Price: Rs 17 lakh

The Hyundai Alcazar is receiving a stylish facelift just in time for the festive season. The 2024 Alcazar facelift brings in design upgrades like a new grille, H-shaped LED DRLs, and larger alloy wheels. Inside, Hyundai has introduced seat ventilation for second-row passengers in six-seater variants, dual-zone automatic climate control, and advanced safety with Level-2 ADAS features. Hyundai’s facelifted three-row SUV will continue to compete with the likes of the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Mahindra XUV700.

MG Windsor EV: Electric Innovation Under Rs 20 Lakh

Launch Date: September 11, 2024
Expected Price: Rs 20 lakh

MG is expanding its EV portfolio with the all-electric Windsor EV, set to launch this festive season. Positioned as a premium crossover, the Windsor EV will come equipped with a 50.6 kWh battery offering an impressive range of up to 460 km (international spec). This will be MG’s third EV in India, and it is set to offer features like a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless phone charging, making it a compelling option in the burgeoning EV market.

2024 Maruti Dzire: India’s Favorite Sedan Gets an Upgrade

Launch Date: To be confirmed
Expected Price: Rs 7 lakh

The much-loved Maruti Dzire is expected to get a significant update this festive season, following the launch of the new-gen Swift earlier this year. With exterior and interior updates, including a larger 9-inch touchscreen, a sunroof, and standard six airbags, the 2024 Dzire is poised to remain a top contender in the sedan segment. It will be powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, offering both manual and automatic transmission options.

2024 Honda Amaze: A Fresh Take on a Compact Sedan

Launch Date: To be confirmed
Expected Price: Rs 7.30 lakh

The next-gen Honda Amaze is expected to launch by the end of the year, featuring a refreshed design that builds on the strengths of the outgoing model. Although it will likely retain its current 1.2-litre petrol engine, the new Amaze will offer more modern features, keeping it competitive in the compact sedan space against rivals like the Maruti Dzire and Hyundai Aura.

Tata Nexon CNG: Green, Efficient, and Powerful

Launch Date: To be confirmed
Expected Price: Rs 9 lakh

Tata Motors is preparing to launch a CNG variant of the popular Tata Nexon, which will be India's first turbocharged CNG car. Powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, the Nexon CNG promises efficiency without sacrificing performance. It will also feature Tata's dual-cylinder technology, ensuring that boot space remains uncompromised. This CNG variant could be a great choice for eco-conscious buyers looking for an efficient and affordable SUV.

With these exciting launches lined up, the 2024 festive season is set to offer Indian car buyers a wide array of choices across different segments. Whether you’re looking for a cutting-edge EV, a stylish sedan, or a powerful SUV, there’s something for everyone under Rs 20 lakh.
