Tata Punch Facelift Spied: New Design & Features Teased

Spotted testing in Pune, Tata’s smallest SUV is set for a facelift later this year. Expect the new model to adopt the brand’s EV-inspired front fascia, vertically stacked LEDs, larger infotainment screen, updated alloys, and interior tweaks, while retaining powertrains.

Tata Motors has been quietly putting its Punch micro-SUV through its paces on Pune’s roads. Heavily camouflaged test mules hint at a bold new look inspired by the Punch EV launched earlier this year.

Up front, you’ll find a closed-off grille flanked by a slim, connected LED DRL strip under the bonnet. This band not only lights the way but is expected to signal turns in sequence, giving the car a more premium stance at night.

Signature split headlamps remain, but they’ve been updated with vertically stacked LEDs and corner-active fog lamps. While the overall shape carries over, new 16-inch alloy wheels lend the Punch a sharper profile.

Upgraded Cabin and Tech Features

Inside, Tata is set to bring the Punch cabin in line with its latest models. Spy shots reveal a larger 10.25-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system by Harman. It supports wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Tata’s iRA connected-car suite, complete with multiple voice commands.

The dashboard layout echoes the recent Altroz facelift, with cleaner lines and updated switchgear. Below, a refreshed climate-control panel sits alongside upgraded charging options—45 W Type-C, USB ports, and the trusty 12 V socket ensure every device stays powered.

Powertrain Remains Proven

Under the hood, Tata isn’t making dramatic changes. The Punch facelift is likely to retain the familiar 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 86 bhp and 113 Nm of torque.

For those seeking greener options, the bi-fuel i-CNG variant will continue, offering 73.4 bhp and 103 Nm.

Launch Timing and Availability

With India’s festive season just months away, Tata Motors is gearing up for a big reveal. Dealers are expected to open bookings shortly after the official launch, which could land around Diwali. The facelift will slot in above the existing Punch range, and pricing may see a slight uptick to reflect the added technology and premium touches.

In conclusion, Tata’s plan for the Punch facelift is clear: blend the brand’s modern EV design cues with the proven strengths of its best-selling micro-SUV and with refreshed styling, upgraded tech, and the same reliable powertrains, the new Punch aims to stay ahead in its segment and capture festive-season buyers. Keep an eye on showrooms later this year for the full unveiling.
