BMW India has announced a uniform ex-showroom price of ₹2.05 crore for its flagship i7 eDrive50 variant across all states in a breakthrough move for the luxury electric segment.
This means that buyers from Delhi to Chennai, Mumbai to Guwahati, will pay the same sticker price, eliminating the usual regional price differences that arise due to local registration fees.
All-Inclusive Ex-Showroom Cost
Flat Price: ₹2.05 crore for the i7 eDrive50, fixed at every BMW showroom nationwide.
Registration Fees: Fully borne by BMW India.
Not Included: Tax Collected at Source (TCS), insurance premiums, and any state-specific local taxes.
By covering the registration cost, BMW India simplifies the purchase process and shields customers from surprise expenses at their local transport office.
Customer-Centric Electric Mobility
Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India, said:
“BMW India has always looked at electric mobility as a holistic concept. We are the pioneers and leaders in the luxury electric mobility space with a novel approach to electric products and services. The introduction of a uniform price for the customers of BMW i7 will ensure price parity for our valuable customers, regardless of which location they want to register their vehicle in. With this innovative offer, our focus is on customer centricity and encouraging the adoption of electric mobility with added benefits. As the vehicle of choice of leaders and luminaries with next-level style and substance, the i7 will continue to shape forwardism in every way.”
His remarks highlight BMW’s focus on standardising the price of the BMW i7, ensuring fairness and transparency for every customer, putting the buyer first and removing barriers to luxury EV ownership regardless of location. This initiative underscores their commitment to a holistic electric-mobility experience—simplifying ownership while encouraging wider EV adoption.
Driving Forwardism
The i7 eDrive50 is more than just a luxury limousine; it represents BMW’s vision of “forwardism,” which is equipped with an electric motor that delivers brisk acceleration, a spacious, tech-laden cabin, and a range that suits both city commutes and long drives. The i7 stands out in its class.
Why This Matters for India
Price Parity: Buyers in higher-registration states like Maharashtra and Karnataka benefit the most, since those fees can exceed several lakhs.
Simplicity: A single nationwide price tag removes the headache of calculating on-road costs in different regions.
Encouraging EV Uptake: By minimizing upfront complications, BMW aims to accelerate electric luxury adoption among Indian customers.
Overall, BMW India’s uniform pricing scheme for the i7 eDrive50 at ₹2.05 crore (ex-showroom) marks a significant step toward transparent, customer-friendly electric mobility. With registration fees absorbed by the brand and a sleek, powerful sedan on offer, the initiative is set to reshape how luxury EVs are bought and enjoyed across the country.
