Citroen India Extends Up To ₹2.80 Lakh Discounts

As Citroen celebrates its fourth anniversary in India, it has unveiled enticing offers, including discounts up to ₹2.80 lakh and a complimentary car spa. However, behind the celebration, the French brand is currently facing a considerable sales decline, limited presence and tough competition in India.

Citroen India has achieved another milestone - good for it! - four years in India. So, Citroen is offering discounts (albeit for a limited time, until June 30, 2025) up to ₹2.80 lakh on vehicles across its range, and all existing customers can get a complimentary car spa as a sweetener to the celebration.

Anniversary Offers Across the Lineup

Citroen announced it has benefits across its entire model range for a limited time as part of its campaign. This applies to the current model range, including C3 hatch, e-C3 (electric), C3 Aircross SUV, and the newest Basalt SUV Coupe, so it can drum up interest among customers as the competition increases and sales slump in the volatile market.

The Rifts Behind the Sales

Citroen has launched India-specific products but continues to struggle with sales. Citroen only sold 333 units in domestic sales in May 2025, down 35% from 515 in May 2024. Citroen had serviced 339 sales in April 20205, which confirms the downward pressure month-to-month.

Citroen's C3 Hatchback led the way in May with only 110 sales while the Basalt SUV Coupe managed only 95 sales. The important item to note is that the ë-C3 (down over 70%) and C3 Aircross (down 47%) have seen rapid sales contraction since inception. The C5 Aircross which is to the key model within the business and originally the brand had negligible sales traction.

Building a Future Amidst Setbacks

Citroen has made steps to produce models which are locally available and to make models for Indian tastes, but with only a few dealers and something low visibility for the brand, it will continue to grow at a slower rate due to limited products to market.

Kumar Priyesh, Business Head & Director of Stellantis India, was quoted "We see both progression and obstacles, and Citroen will continue to develop and provide Citroen Comfort at right value to Indian consumers”.

As Citroen turns four, these anniversary offers are more of a serious thank you gesture to the audience as it is to develop and re-ignite consumer awareness.
