Citroen C5 Aircross Facelift Launched At Rs 36 Lakh In India

Citroen C5 Aircross facelift launched at Rs 36.67 lakh in India

Elevating style and performance, the Citroen C5 Aircross facelift has arrived in India, priced at Rs 36.67 lakh. This updated model boasts a refreshed design and enhanced features, promising a premium driving experience. With its distinctive appearance and advanced technology, the C5 Aircross reaffirms Citroen's commitment to innovation. Positioned as a formidable contender in its segment, the facelifted C5 Aircross combines French elegance with modern functionality. Car enthusiasts can now explore the roads with renewed vigor, courtesy of Citroen's latest offering that marries sophistication and performance.

Citroen C5 Aircross facelift launched at Rs 36.67 lakh in India

Citroen has made the facelifted C5 Aircross available in India for an initial price of Rs 36.67 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The entry-level Feel trim offered with the pre-facelift model is no longer available, since the new C5 Aircross is only available in one fully-loaded Shine (dual tone) edge in India.

The C5 Aircross facelift's visual improvements are primarily focused on the front fascia. The single-piece headlamps that diverge at the edges have a neater design in place of the layered split-headlamp appearance of the pre-facelift model. Two sets of LED Daytime Running Lamps have been added to the wraparound headlamps, and they now align with the grille, which has the double Chevron emblem positioned in the middle of it.

A new faux silver skid plate, more comprehensive, deep-set air intakes on either side and a cleaner-looking front bumper are all characteristics believed to improve the car's aerodynamics. The central air inlet is narrower and goes well with the block-like design components.

The only significant alteration to the side appearance is a new design for the 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear, it is substantially comparable to the initial setup, except for the redesigned taillamps, which now have rectangular lighting components and a darker finish.

Four colours are offered for the new C5 Aircross: Pearl White, Perla Nera Black, Cumulus Gray, and a brand-new shade dubbed Eclipse Blue.

An extensive set of modifications have been made to the interior. A larger, independent 10-inch infotainment system has been installed in place of the 8.0-inch touchscreen that was integrated into the dashboard. Horizontal, conventional-looking units have taken the location of the cube-shaped AC vents that flanked the infotainment screen. The infotainment system's touch-based shortcut keys have been kept, but they are now located underneath the air conditioning vents.

The standard gear lever has been replaced with a new toggle switch in the centre console, which has also undergone a minor modification. A unique rectangular button has taken the place of the centre console's circular dial for the drive modes. Graphics and the user interface have been improved on the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

The second row of the C5 Aircross features three separate sliding, reclining, and retractable seats. Citroen claims that an additional 15mm of cushioning has improved the comfort of the seats. Additionally, there is new upholstery for the seats, armrests, and centre console that is made of a combination of leather and fabric and has a black and grey finish.

The updated C5 Aircross maintains its previous equipment list, including a motorised driver seat, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, hands-free tailgate opening, hands-free parking, six airbags, ESC, and traction control. It also adds automatic wipers and LED lighting. The boot has a 580-litre capacity that can be increased to 1,630 litres.

The 2.0-litre engine has already been discontinued in foreign markets. It has been replaced by 1.5-liter diesel, gasoline, or petrol-hybrid engine options as part of Citroen's global phase-out of diesel engines. However, India still uses the smooth and powerful 2.0-litre diesel engine, which perfectly complements the C5 Aircross's relaxed and comfort-focused personality.
