Audi Q5 Hybrid Is Revealed with a 100km EV Range

Audi has released Q5 and Q5 Sportback e-hybrid quattro with the aim of expanding on its plug-in hybrid model lineup. They will offer up to 100km of pure electric range with a bigger battery of 25.9kWh and two drive modes, ensuring Audi renowned performance and luxury, as their combined output is 300bhp.

Audi has unveiled two new plug-in hybrid variants of the SUV Q5 and the Q5 Sportback- the Q5 e-hybrid quattro and the Q5 Sportback e-hybrid known as quattro. This is an attempt to fill the gap between the traditional sub-combustion of the powertrains and fully electric ones, as these new additions to the Q5 lineup will provide the modern consumers with more flexibility.

Powertrain and Performance

The standard Q5 and the sportier-looking Sportback can come with a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine of 250bhp with an electric engine connected to it. They have a collective power of 300 bhp. The mixture is potent enough that the SUVs can ride the 0 to 100 kmph velocity scope in about 6.2 seconds, and the electronics are linked to very high speeds of 250kmph, as anticipated with the refined and active Audi offspring trademark of dynamic driving comfort.

High-quality Battery Technology and EV Range

The second significant enhancement, in fact, is another high-voltage battery of 25.9kWh that is smartly assembled in a stacked battery design labeling more cells. It has served to make the capacity of Audi rise by a staggering 45 percent over the last model to enable up to 100km to be experienced in the pure electric and this is a big figure considering that it trumps over a plug-in hybrid that operates within the same segment.

Audi, through the Q5 e-hybrid is said to take only 2.5 hours to fully charge 11kW AC charging; it is convenient to use during charging at night and can simply charge its battery upwards of 2.5 hours each day during working hours.

Intelligent Drive Modes

The drivers are able to switch between two modes, EV and Hybrid. The EV mode enables the car to run purely on electric power till the battery drains out. The hybrid control unit of Audi operates in Hybrid mode using a balance between fuel and electrical power dynamically, even saving charge later in the day, like driving in cities.

The user can also change the desired charge level through a digital slider of the infotainment system manually.

Conclusion

Audi is offering a convincing combination of performance, efficiency and convenience with these high level hybrid offerings. The Q5 e-hybrid models are not only future-proof but also designed in a way that they can be used by ordinary people, and therefore the right choice for people who would like to enter the electrified world without losing luxury and performance.
