As the festive season approaches, carmakers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra, Kia, MG, and Honda are gearing up to launch new models across various segments. Here are eight upcoming car launches that are set to hit the Indian market in the next 3-4 months, making them worth the wait.
1. MG Windsor EV (September 11, 2024)
The MG Windsor EV, based on the Wuling Cloud EV, is set to debut as a midsize electric crossover that merges SUV and sedan characteristics. Expected to offer a spacious interior with reclinable rear seats and a large panoramic glass roof, the Windsor EV aims to deliver over 500 km of driving range on a single charge, making it a compelling option in the electric vehicle segment.
2. Hyundai Alcazar Facelift (September 9, 2024)
Hyundai is ready to unveil the facelifted Alcazar, featuring design cues borrowed from the latest Creta. This three-row SUV will also include Level 2 ADAS and over 70 connected features. Under the hood, the Alcazar will retain the 1.5L diesel and 1.5L turbo petrol engines, paired with manual and automatic transmission options.
3. Tata Curvv (September 3, 2024)
Tata's IC-engined Curvv is slated for release in early September. It will be powered by a choice of 1.2L Revotron petrol, 1.2L GDI petrol, and 1.5L diesel engines. The Curvv will carry over many features from its electric counterpart, the Curvv EV, and will compete with models like the Citroen Basalt and other midsize SUVs.
4. New Honda Amaze (Late 2024)
The third-generation Honda Amaze is expected to launch before the end of the year. It will feature a redesigned front fascia and rear, along with significant interior upgrades. However, the existing engine and transmission options are likely to remain unchanged.
5. New Maruti Suzuki Dzire (Festive Season 2024)
Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce the all-new Dzire during the festive season. This model will share several elements with the latest Swift, but will have distinct exterior design revisions to set it apart from its compact hatchback sibling.
6. Kia EV9 (October 3, 2024)
Kia’s new flagship electric SUV, the EV9, is set for an October launch. This model is expected to arrive as a CBU initially and will boast radical design updates both inside and out compared to its predecessor.
7. New Kia Carnival (October 3, 2024)
The new-gen Kia Carnival will also be launched alongside the EV9. It will feature comprehensive updates and will be positioned as a premium offering in Kia's lineup, also expected to arrive as a CBU.
8. Mahindra XUV 3OO EV (Late 2024)
The Mahindra XUV 3OO EV, the electric version of the popular compact SUV, is anticipated to launch before the year ends. Positioned below the XUV 400, it will likely share its smaller battery pack with its sibling, targeting competitors like the Tata Punch EV.
