Digital technology has undoubtedly made people's lives convenient. Remember when there were no grocery apps, and you had to visit the nearest store for all the purchasing? But wasn't it tedious? Because time consumed in traveling, searching for the product, and standing in long queues to pay, took a toll. However, things have changed. Thanks to digitization, many grocery apps are in the market, and purchasing has become easier and quicker. Most sectors have undergone digitization. Recently, the Ministry Of Road Transport and Highways has transformed its industry by introducing several digital policies. If you remember, when driving on national highways, you may likely have witnessed several toll plazas. Having these plazas certainly helps to maintain roads. Still, the long queues and time-consuming payment at the toll are frustrating. The ministry has implemented FASTag technology across all the toll plazas on national highways.
What is FASTag technology?
Implementing FASTag technology has made travel much easier and quicker on national highways. After its introduction, the payment of toll tax has become more accessible. Furthermore, the long queues have significantly shortened since the payments are made in seconds.
A FASTag employs a Radio Frequency Identification Technology (RFID) to make toll payments. This is how it works:
- A FASTag card is attached to the windshield of the car.
- When you transit FASTag-enabled toll plazas, you will see RFID readers at these plazas. These readers scan the card while you are driving and automatically deduct the fee from the card's prepaid account. There are 22 certified banks that issue FASTag cards. One such bank that offers a FASTag card is HDFC.
FASTag HDFC Bank

After purchasing the card, you must ensure the prepaid account has a sufficient balance. If there isn't enough balance in the account, your FASTag account may be blacklisted.
To recharge your Fastag Hdfc Bank card, you can use the services of Park+. Apart from this, Park+ offers other services also. The services include purchasing a FASTag, recharging a FASTag account, RTO-related services, checking e-challan status, and more.
FASTag Recharge HDFC Bank
Recharging the HDFC FASTag account using the Park+ app is simple. The recharge involves two steps:
