Nashik has two main Regional Transport Offices (RTO). The RTOs perform important functions related to the vehicle as well driver. These ensure road safety and the smooth management of Maharashtra traffic. The following are the Nashik RTO codes.

The main functions of these RTOs are to act according to the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988. Apart from that, the RTO performs a lot of other functions too. Like transfer of vehicle ownership, pollution check, tax collection, ensuing road safety, vehicle inspection and several others.

The RTOs also known as the Regional Transport Offices are established by the Government of India, to carry out activities under the Motor Vehicles Act, of 1988. RTO is a crucial place to get your driving license and register your new vehicle.
The services that are provided at the Nashik RTOs are:
To implement all the services to be provided under the Motor vehicles Act of 1988.
To issue the Driver's Licence (DL) along with Registration Certificate (RC).

Submit Form no 21, along with the sales certificate. The dealer who sold you the vehicle has to provide these.
Form 22A- This is the declaration that the manufacturer has conformed to the pollution and safety standards and roadworthiness.
An invoice of lifetime tax (if applicable) must be provided.
Except for two-wheelers, all other vehicles require two copies of a PAN card, or Form 60.
You also need to provide a vehicle registration certificate along with the address proof.
Carriages require a manufacturer's certificate.
For a trailer, the Transport Commissioner's approval of the design of the vehicle is necessary.
A person, who has ownership of a tractor or trailer and provides the tehsildar's certificate can receive the tax exemption.
Proof of tax payment is required for a vehicle purchased from another state.

If your vehicle is about to complete 15 years of registration, it is time to renew your registration. This can be done at the RTO office.
Steps to renew your registration:
Take your vehicle to the same RTO, where it was first registered.
If your vehicle is legally safe to be driven, then your registration will be extended for a period of another 5 years.
Within 60 days of the expiry of your registration, you need to submit Form 25 to the respective RTO.
Then you have to pay a fee to the registering authority. The fee would be under Rule 81 of the Central Motor Vehicles Act of 1988.
Before you start driving your vehicle, there are some formalities. In Maharashtra, before you purchase a new vehicle, you must transfer your vehicle ownership to the new buyer. This process can be easily done at RTO Nashik.
Important and valid Documents:
Form no 28 is required for a No Objection Certificate. (In case the vehicle is from another state).

Steps to transfer your vehicles offline
Download application Form no 30 from the website of Maharastra Motor Vehicles Department. Link to the form.
Know your "Eligibility" from the official website
Go to the RTO in Nashik where your vehicle is registered.
Application forms are also available at the Nashik RTO offices. You must complete the form and pay the fee. Check your fee here.
Next, an officer will start processing your application
If your documents are found to be legal and authentic and the authorities have no objection regarding them, your vehicle ownership will be finally transferred.
Transferring your vehicle online
Log in to the National Portal.
Next, select your state.
Click on the Vehicle Registration number.
Enter your Registration number and proceed.
Next click on services and select RC-related services.
Enter the last 5 characters of your Chasis number.
Verify details.
An OTP will be sent to your mobile number in which the RC is registered.
Enter OTP and then click on submit.
Next, an application form will open, fill out the form.
After the form is filled, an application number will be generated, keep it for future reference.
Then pay your fees.
Check your details carefully because if you submit it once it cannot be changed.
Go back to the dashboard and click on status and select 'Reverify payment transaction."
Next, your payment will be verified and a series of forms will open.
Print out from numbers 29,30 and 35.
Then print your receipt.
Next, upload your documents.
