The registration procedure is simple and includes the following steps.
Visit the RTO in Aligarh with your vehicle, submit the application with the required paperwork, and pay the applicable fees and taxes.
The following forms are required to register a vehicle at RTO Aligarh: Form 21 (sale certificate) from the vehicle dealer and dealer invoice, Form 34 that is signed by the owner and financer, Form 20 with the imprint of the chassis and engine number, and Form 22 (certificate of roadworthiness) that is issued by the vehicle manufacturer.
Along with the above-mentioned filled-in forms, you also need to carry your PAN card, or Form 60/61, a passport-size photograph, and attested copies of proof of address and valid vehicle insurance.
Submit all the above documents and pay the prescribed registration fee.
Whenever a vehicle is transported to another Indian state and used there for more than a year, the registration must be renewed as well.
Vehicles older than 15 years must also renew the registration certificate through the submission of Form 25.
