Which Car Is Better The New Maruti Suzuki Swift Or Tata Altroz

Which car is better: the New Maruti Suzuki Swift or Tata Altroz?

The fourth-generation all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift has been one of the most anticipated cars of 2024 but wait can it beat a Tata Car? A brand by the Indians for the Indians. The 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift, which starts at Rs 6.49 lakh ex-showroom, has generated a lot of attention since it was introduced in India and now the 2024 version is performing the same.

On the other hand, Tata Altroz, the only hatchback with both petrol and diesel engine options available at the moment, is a competitor for the Swift as the hatchback market gradually loses its appeal. Let's contrast the two in terms of features, cost, and engine specs.

Features

The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift is offered in nine color combinations, with a new honeycomb grille, 15-inch wheels, and LED illumination. Its interior has a revised dashboard, a new entertainment system that floats and connects to smartphones wirelessly, navigation, and linked auto technology.

Six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX seat anchor points, stability control, a reverse camera, hill hold assistance, and parking sensors are all standard on the Swift for safety.

In comparison to the Swift, the Tata Altroz has larger, sportier styling, LED DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, and projector headlamps. Its interior features include an electric sunroof with voice activation, an electric instrument cluster, a 7-inch infotainment system (which will eventually be updated to a 10-inch), linked car technology, smartphone connectivity, and cruise control.

Additionally, The Altroz is rated five stars by GNCAP, making it the safest hatchback in India.

Engine Specifications

The new Z-Series 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine that powers the Maruti Suzuki Swift comes with an AMT or manual gearbox. In contrast, the Tata Altroz has a 1.2-liter engine that may be forced introduction or naturally aspirated, and it comes with a choice of manual or dual-clutch automatic gearboxes. The Altroz produces torque values of 115 Nm and 140 Nm, respectively, and power outputs of 87 BHP and 108 BHP, while the Swift produces 80 BHP and 112 Nm of torque. The Swift is an attractive option in the segment despite the Altroz's higher power since it has established itself as a useful and well-liked hatchback choice among younger and older groups.

Price Difference

The starting price of the Tata Altroz is Rs 6.64 lakh, whilst the Maruti Suzuki Swift is priced at Rs 6.49 lakh.

Overall, The New Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Tata Altroz are comparable cars, but which is best depends on personal goals and tastes. The Altroz appeals to those seeking greater power and a sportier design, while the Swift appeals to those seeking a popular and practical hatchback. When choosing between the two hatchbacks, prospective buyers are recommended to take into account aspects like power, safety features, design, and overall driving experience.
