Recently, Volkswagen India took a step to expand its network and presence in Punjab. On July 25, 2025, they inaugurated a new sales and service showroom in Patiala, Punjab. It marked another milestone for the brand across northern India, as with this new showroom, they now have 11 sales and 7 service touchpoints, including Chandigarh and Panchkula. It is part of Volkswagen's ongoing effort to expand its footprint across key Tier II and Tier III cities in India.
Strategic Move Of Expansion In India
With the showroom located on Rajpura-Patiala Road, which features a four-car display, and the spares and service workshop being located at Chamarheri, near the Patiala Toll Plaza, the brand has successfully made a strategic move to expand its footprint.
The showroom has Virtus and Taigun, both five-star rated models by Global NCAP, along with the Tguan R-Line and the Gold GTI on its display. The service workshop also contains eight service bays with body and paint repair capabilities. The facility also includes Express Service and Volkswagen Assistance programme for faster services and doorstep support for minor repairs and maintenance.
The newly opened showroom is designed to deliver a premium service and brand experience. With trained professionals offering expert guidance and after-sales support, the brand aims to make it consumer-friendly. The facility further follows the company’s updated brand design language, ensuring that customers receive consistent service standards in line with Volkswagen’s global practices.

Nitin Kohli, the brand director, stated that “The expansion of our network in Punjab is aligned with our commitment to expanding our network in this state and delivering German-engineered cars that redefine premium mobility experiences. We are confident that the team at Volkswagen Patiala will elevate customer experiences and drive the next chapter of growth in this market.” He also emphasized Punjab’s importance to the company’s national sales performance.
And as per the notes by the Managing Director of Volkswagen Patiala, Mr. Ashok Singhal, his organization now offers facilities in both Patiala and Bathinda. He further expressed that he has firm confidence in the new expansion and that it would enhance brand accessibility and service quality for customers, while it would also maintain the brand's focus on safety, quality, and reliability.
