Toyota is all set to unveil the crossover on April 3 called the "Urban Cruiser Taisor." The launch is important for another reason that marks Toyota's return to the highly competitive Indian sub-4-meter SUV market. The Urban Cruiser Taisun was the topic of much discussion in the automobile sector starting in late 2023, with its global launch planned for April 3, 2024.
Exterior, Interior, and Features
The Taisor will have a few small visual changes over its sister car, the Fronx, though most of the stylistic cues will probably remain the same. This has been the case with products that have come from the Maruti-Toyota relationship in the past. These could include new alloy wheels, a reworked headlight and taillight combination, and a new grille, among other little changes. It is expected that a new bright orange color was added to the palette of Taisor as something unique when compared with the Fronx.
When it comes to Interior then On the cabin, the Taisor may get a dashboard layout similar to the one seen on the Fronx but with a twist in the tale of colors. It is expected to feature a freestanding 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.
Other features will include wireless phone charging, a head-up display, 360-degree cameras, cruise control, connected car tech, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, and rear AC vents, among other features. Key safety features include six airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), and a hill hold assist.
Powertrain
The Toyota crossover will likely share engines and gearboxes with the Fronx. The 1.2-liter, four-cylinder K-series engine, which produces a maximum of 88.5 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque, will power the Taisor's powertrain. Three different transmission options will be available: a 6-speed torque converter automatic, a 5-speed AMT, and a 5-speed manual. It is anticipated that a CNG variant of the identical engine will also be available. But it's unclear if the Taisor will get the more potent 1.0-liter Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine that's already available in the Bronx.
