Covers the new Kia Seltos for India's design, features, engines, variations, and booking information.
Explains the location, anticipated price range, and Kia's strategy to "reload" the Seltos in the competitive midsize SUV market.
Kia completely redesigned the Seltos' exterior to make it appear more upscale and muscular. The SUV now has a broader grille, a taller, more upright snout, new LED trademark lighting, and a more squared-off bumper that visually connects it to Kia's larger international SUVs. It can be easily distinguished from the outgoing model in the back thanks to connected LED taillights, a reworked tailgate, and a new bumper design. Its "badass reloaded" concept is emphasized by larger alloy wheels, new colour options, and a more grounded posture.
Cabin and Features: Advanced Comfort, ADAS, and Panoramic Display
The new Seltos' interior is mostly inspired by Kia's most recent models, with a revised center console and steering wheel in addition to a broad, curved panel that holds two 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment system and instrument cluster.
A dual-pane panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, a high-end sound system, a motorized tailgate, and connected-car technology with over-the-air updates are among the features that vary depending on the model.
The Seltos is intended to lead its segment in terms of safety and technology thanks to Level-2 ADAS, an extensive airbag package, and other active safety aids.
Bookings, Variants, and Engines
Three powertrains are still available for the second-generation Seltos: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine, a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-liter diesel.
Depending on the version, the transmissions can be manual, iMT, IVT, torque-converter automatic, or dual-clutch automatic. Variants including HTE, HTK, HTX, GT Line, and X-Line will make up the core of the range. It will be available in the well-known Tech Line, GT Line, and X-Line style-based trims.
Prior to the official price release on January 2, 2026, online and in-store reservations begin at a nominal ₹25,000.
Positioning and Anticipated Price Range
Taking on competitors like the Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Honda Elevate, the new Seltos remains a prominent product in the midsize SUV market. Industry estimates imply an ex-showroom price range of approximately ₹10.99 - 20.80 lakh, depending on engine and trim, due to its larger footprint, nicer interiors, and wider feature list. As it approaches its January 2026 introduction, Kia is obviously counting on design, technology, and perceived premiumness to keep the Seltos at the forefront of SUV discourse.
