Skoda Auto India has introduced the much-anticipated Skoda Kylaq, a compact SUV crafted for the Indian market. Based on the brand’s MQB-A0-IN platform, the Kylaq measures under four meters in length, positioning itself as a strong competitor against established models like Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Bookings are set to open on December 2, with deliveries beginning shortly afterward.
The Kylaq is available in four distinct variants—Classic, Signature, Signature Plus, and Prestige. Prices start at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Classic model, though full pricing for all variants will be revealed soon.

Skoda Kylaq Classic (Rs 7.89 lakh, ex-showroom)
The entry-level Classic variant, only available with a manual transmission, offers essential features like 16-inch steel wheels, six airbags, central locking, and a manual day/night IRVM. For safety and comfort, it includes ISOFIX anchors, three-point seat belts for all passengers, adjustable headrests, traction control, auto engine start-stop, and power windows. Inside, there’s manual AC, rear AC vents, analogue dials with a digital MID, a front center armrest, a 12V charging socket, tilt steering adjust, powered wing mirrors, fabric seats, and a four-speaker audio system.
Skoda Kylaq Signature (Expected price: Rs 9 lakh, ex-showroom)
This trim, also available only with a manual transmission, builds on the Classic with added features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, a tire pressure monitor, rear defogger, and dual-tone dashboard, door panels, and seat fabric. It also includes a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, chrome garnishes on AC vents and door handles, USB Type-C slots in the front, a rear parcel shelf, and two tweeters.
Skoda Kylaq Signature Plus (Expected price: Rs 11.5 lakh, ex-showroom)
Available with both manual and automatic transmission options, the Signature Plus variant upgrades include a rear center armrest, a 10-inch touchscreen, auto AC, digital dials, power-folding wing mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with chrome garnish, cruise control, a dash insert, and paddle shifters for added driving convenience.
Skoda Kylaq Prestige (Expected price: Rs 12.5 lakh, ex-showroom)
The top-tier Prestige trim, offered with both manual and automatic transmission, includes premium features such as 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear wiper, auto-dimming IRVM, powered sunroof, ventilated seats, leatherette upholstery, and powered front seats.
Measuring 3,995 mm in length, 1,975 mm in width, and 1,575 mm in height, the Kylaq boasts a 2,566 mm wheelbase and a ground clearance of 189 mm. It comes equipped with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine delivering 115 hp and 178 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed torque converter or a 6-speed manual gearbox.
