Draws attention to the special edition's extraordinary luxury and feature improvements.
Explains the distinctive aspects of local manufacturing and performance.
At ₹4.10 crore (ex-showroom), Mercedes-Benz India has formally unveiled the Mercedes-Maybach GLS Celebration Edition, an extremely premium variant of their flagship SUV. This special edition, which honors the Maybach GLS's popularity in India, also marks a significant milestone: the SUV will be manufactured locally at the company's Pune factory, making India the first non-US market to produce this model domestically.
In addition to shortening delivery times, this action has already significantly lowered the cost of the regular GLS model, which currently starts at about ₹2.75 crore because of local production.
The Celebration Edition's Unique Features
The powerful 4.0-liter V8 petrol engine and nine-speed automated transmission of the Celebration Edition continue to provide powerful performance, with an electronically limited peak speed of 250 km/h and a 0–100 km/h sprint time of less than 5 seconds.
Inside, rear-seat luxury is the main attraction. The tone was set by two separate seats with a full-length central console that had a tablet interface and opulent customization choices. While the optional Exclusive Leather Package adds colour-matched finishes to the window frames and instrument panels, the MANUFAKTUR leather packages provide superior nappa leather on the seats and extended trim.
A 29-speaker Burmester surround sound system, seat climate control and multi-contour massage seats, chilled sections, custom champagne flute holders, and folding rear tables are just a few of the luxurious features that elevate the cabin to super-luxury levels.
Upgrades in Design and Technology
The Celebration Edition's distinctive dual-tone paint job, unique 23-inch forged wheels with a high-sheen shine, and integrated bolt covers highlight its unique personality.
This SUV combines luxurious comfort with state-of-the-art driving assistance thanks to cutting-edge technologies like the E-Active body control suspension, a 360-degree camera system, and the newest Mercedes user experience (MBUX) controls.
An Indication of Rising Demand for Luxury
Mercedes-Benz's choice to launch a limited-edition model and begin local manufacture highlights India's significance in the global luxury automobile industry. The AMG GT and other high-end vehicles continue to bolster the brand's position in the premium market alongside the Celebration Edition.
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS Celebration Edition, which combines performance, craftsmanship, and cutting-edge technology in an even more opulent cabin, raises the bar for SUVs in India.
