Tata Nexon CNG Testing Underway, Launch Anticipated Soon

Tata Motors, the maker of Nexon, an SUV that reflects the company's wonder in innovation with attention to sustainability is readying to release the compressed natural gas (CNG) alternative version dubbed the Tata Nexon CNG. The last peep of the upcoming Nexton CNG sight was recently noticed when it was seen undergoing road tests in various parts of the globe, pointing to its entry in India soon.

The unveiling of the Tata Nexon T on CNG stands as a hallmark as the first car in India to have CNG, added with the turbo-petrol engine. Powered with the similar 1.2-litre turbo-petrol mill as that of the normal version, it is expected to come in with output figures that have been tweaked to some extent. Tata Nexon currently costs around 8.15 - 15.80 lakh (showroom prices) and it is expected that the CNG trim will sometimes be Rs 1 lakh higher than the equivalent petrol manual variants. After launch, the Interstellar Nexon CNG will offer stiff competition to the CNG Maruti Suzuki Brezza versions. Apart from Brezza, regular Nexon has dealings with cars such as the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
