Skoda Superb 2023 Cbu Units Available At Massive Rs 18 Lakh Discount

Skoda Superb 2023 CBU Units Available at Massive Rs 18 Lakh Discount

Skoda Superb

Skoda India has announced significant year-end discounts on its third-generation Skoda Superb sedan, making it a compelling option for luxury car buyers. Imported as completely built units (CBUs) earlier this year, the Superb is now available at discounts of up to Rs 18 lakh, bringing its price close to that of the discontinued locally assembled model.

A Glimpse into the Skoda Superb’s Journey

The third-generation Skoda Superb was initially discontinued in 2023 following the introduction of stricter BS6 Stage 2 emission norms. However, Skoda India reintroduced the sedan in April 2024 as a fully imported model, priced at Rs 54 lakh (ex-showroom).

Limited to just 100 units, these CBUs boasted advanced features, setting them apart from their locally assembled counterparts.

Discounts and Availability

Despite its exclusivity, some units of the imported Superb remain unsold. Dealers and multi-brand showrooms are now offering discounts of Rs 15-18 lakh on these units to clear year-end inventories. This brings the sedan's effective ex-showroom price down to approximately Rs 36 lakh, with an on-road cost near Rs 38 lakh, depending on the city.

Interestingly, the discounted price aligns closely with the cost of the locally assembled Superb, which was available before its discontinuation. With only 20-25 units reportedly remaining across India, this is a golden opportunity for buyers looking for luxury at a bargain price.

Features That Outshine the Competition

The imported Skoda Superb is a notch above its locally assembled predecessor in terms of features and equipment. Key highlights include:

  • Dynamic Chassis Control: Ensures superior handling and ride comfort.

  • Active Tyre Pressure Monitoring System: Enhances safety by keeping track of tyre conditions.

  • Nine Airbags: Sets a benchmark in safety.

  • 9-inch Columbus Infotainment System: Offers a larger screen with better connectivity and usability.

These features, which were absent in the locally assembled model, make the imported version a more attractive option for discerning buyers.

Points to Consider Before Buying

While the discount makes the Skoda Superb an enticing deal, there are a few aspects prospective buyers should consider:

  • Manufacturing Year: Since the available units were manufactured in 2023, the cars will be classified as two years old by early 2025, which might affect resale value.

  • Limited Stock: With only a few units left, buyers must act quickly to secure their purchase.

Conclusion

At an effective price of Rs 36 lakh, the imported Skoda Superb offers unmatched luxury, advanced features, and robust safety. It bridges the gap between a premium sedan and a luxury offering, making it a worthwhile investment despite the 2023 manufacturing date. With discounts exceeding Rs 18 lakh, this is a rare opportunity to own a high-spec, fully imported model at a highly competitive price.
