Performance flagship of the Kodiaq range arrives next week
Limited allocation already sold out ahead of official debut
Skoda is preparing to roll out the Kodiaq RS in India during the first week of July 2026. Positioned as the performance-oriented flagship of the Kodiaq lineup, this version brings a punchier engine, sharper styling and extra kit over the regular model.
The carmaker has confirmed it will offer the RS only in limited numbers, and going by demand so far, the initial batch has already been booked out before the car has even been officially launched.
Exterior Styling Gets An Aggressive Makeover
Blacked Out Details And Sporty Touches
On the outside, the Kodiaq RS sets itself apart with a glossy black grille, blacked-out trim elements and reworked bumpers that give it a more purposeful stance. It also rides on a set of exclusive alloy wheels and wears RS badging, while red brake callipers peek through the wheel spokes for a sportier edge.
Around the back, buyers will notice a full-width reflector strip along with dual exhaust finishers, both of which add to the SUV's more athletic road presence.
Cabin Gets A Sportier, All Black Theme
Upholstery And Trim
Step inside and the changes continue with an all-black cabin theme. The RS-specific sports seats are finished in a mix of suede and leather, set off by red contrast stitching that runs through the cabin.
Stainless steel pedals and RS branding on both the steering wheel and seats round off the sportier feel inside.
Equipment And Technology
In terms of features, the Kodiaq RS comes loaded with a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system paired with a 10-inch digital instrument cluster.
Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, a Canton premium sound system, ventilated and massaging front seats, three zone climate control and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems.
Engine And Performance Specifications
Under the bonnet sits a 2.0 litre four cylinder turbo petrol engine that puts out 265bhp and 400Nm of peak torque. This is matched with a seven speed DSG automatic gearbox, and all-wheel drive comes as standard across the range.
Compared with the standard Kodiaq, the RS marks a notable step up in performance while still holding on to the practicality of a seven-seat layout.
Expected Pricing
Skoda is expected to price the Kodiaq RS at close to Rs. 60 lakh, ex-showroom, which places it firmly in niche territory for buyers after genuine performance without giving up everyday usability.
With numbers limited and the early allocation already gone, those keen on getting their hands on one will need to wait for the next round of bookings once the SUV is formally launched.
