Tata Sierra EV Gets Its First Official Preview
Tata Motors set the tone for the week by offering the first official preview of the upcoming Sierra EV, which is scheduled to make its full debut on June 30, 2026.
The teaser offered a clearer look at the production-spec exterior, revealing EV-specific styling tweaks that distinguish it from the internal combustion engine version.
A follow-up teaser released later in the week went a step further, giving the public a comprehensive view of the SUV's complete design. The overall silhouette closely mirrors the ICE Sierra, though the EV-specific details are apparent enough to give it a distinct character on the road.
Tata Tigor Facelift Design Filed as Patent
In a move that signals a refresh is on the way for the Tigor, Tata Motors filed a design patent for the updated compact sedan.
The patent indicates the Tigor could be in line for similar treatment to the recently launched Tiago facelift, with a revised front fascia and a reworked rear end that may feature a connected tail-lamp setup. This would bring the Tigor in step with the broader design language Tata has been rolling out across its current portfolio.
Tata Motors Outlines a Packed Product Plan to FY31
At its Investors Day Meet held on June 23, 2026, Tata Motors laid out an ambitious roadmap for the years ahead.
The company announced plans to introduce 15 ICE and 10 EV models by the financial year 2031. This will encompass six new ICE nameplates and four new EV nameplates, which include the Sierra EV and the upcoming luxury sub-brand Avinya.
At present, the Tata Motors portfolio consists of nine ICE models and six electric vehicles.
Renault Kiger Gains a New Evolution Plus Variant
Renault India added the Evolution Plus trim to the Kiger SUV lineup, making the turbo-petrol engine more accessible at a lower price point than the higher variants.
