Porsche to Unveil Macan EV, Taycan Facelift, and 911 GTS at Auto Expo 2025

Porsche is set to make a significant impact at Auto Expo 2025 by unveiling a diverse range of vehicles, including the Macan EV, the updated Taycan, and the latest 911 GTS. This line-up underscores Porsche's commitment to innovation in electric mobility and traditional performance engineering.

The Macan EV marks Porsche's foray into the electric SUV segment in India. Departing from the traditional Macan design, it adopts aesthetic cues from the Taycan, presenting a modern and aerodynamic silhouette.

Inside, the cabin mirrors the contemporary design language of the current Cayenne, featuring a seamless three-screen dashboard that integrates infotainment, instrumentation, and vehicle controls.

In the Indian market, the Macan EV will be available in three distinct variants:

  • Macan RWD: Equipped with a 360hp rear-mounted electric motor, this base model offers a balanced entry into electric mobility.

  • Macan 4: Featuring a dual-motor setup, it delivers 408hp and introduces all-wheel-drive capabilities for enhanced performance.

  • Macan Turbo: The top-tier variant boasts a formidable 639hp and an impressive torque of up to 1,130Nm, catering to enthusiasts seeking high performance.

All variants come with a 100kWh battery pack, providing a commendable range of up to 641km on the WLTP cycle, ensuring practicality alongside performance.

Porsche Taycan Facelift

The updated Taycan maintains its sleek design but introduces significant enhancements beneath the surface.

The latest models are equipped with lighter electric motors featuring revised internals, contributing to improved efficiency and performance.

Additionally, a new battery with updated cell chemistry extends the vehicle's range and power output.

The power spectrum for the Taycan facelift is as follows:

  • Taycan 4S: Produces 517hp, offering a harmonious blend of performance and efficiency.

  • Taycan Turbo: Delivers an impressive 707hp, catering to those desiring heightened performance.

The updated battery system enables a maximum range of up to 678km on the WLTP cycle, positioning the Taycan as a formidable contender in the luxury electric vehicle market.

Porsche 911 GTS

Porsche will also introduce the latest iteration of the 911 Carrera GTS, now featuring a T-hybrid powertrain. This system combines a newly developed turbocharged 3.6-litre six-cylinder boxer engine with a gearbox-mounted electric motor and a compact 1.9kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery.

This configuration results in:

  • Power Output: 541hp

  • Torque: Up to 610Nm

The exterior design includes active aerodynamic elements such as front bumper aero flaps, a redesigned spoiler, and a modified diffuser to enhance performance and stability.

Inside, the traditional analog tachometer has been replaced with a fully digital driver display, reflecting the vehicle's modernized interface.

Porsche Panamera GTS and 911 GT3 RS

In addition to the aforementioned models, Porsche's exhibit will feature:

  • Panamera GTS: Powered by a 500hp 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, this model showcases a distinctive dark-themed aesthetic with black GTS logos, tinted HD matrix LED headlamps, and satin matte-black accents on various exterior elements.

  • 911 GT3 RS: Known for its track-oriented design, the 911 GT3 RS has previously demonstrated its capabilities by setting lap records at circuits such as the Buddh International Circuit and the CoASTT racetrack, underscoring its performance pedigree.

In conclusion, Porsche's line-up at Auto Expo 2025 highlights its dedication to advancing both electric and internal combustion technologies. By introducing models like the Macan EV and the updated Taycan, alongside the latest 911 GTS and other high-performance vehicles, Porsche continues to blend innovation with its storied performance heritage.
