Nissan Tekton Achieves 5-Star Bharat NCAP Rating
One of the biggest highlights is the Tekton's 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, making it one of the safest SUVs in its category. Since the Tekton shares its platform and safety package with the Renault Duster, the rating is based on the Duster's assessment.
The SUV scored:
| Category | Score |

| Adult Occupant Protection | 30.49/32 |
| Child Occupant Protection | 45/49 |
The Tekton comes equipped with safety features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and ISOFIX child-seat mounts as standard across the lineup, further strengthening its safety credentials.
Nissan Tekton ARAI-Certified Mileage
The Nissan Tekton is offered with two turbo-petrol engine options, combining strong performance with practical everyday efficiency. Nissan has now officially revealed the ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figures across the lineup and the results are highly impressive:
1.0-litre Three-Cylinder Turbo-Petrol (T160): This engine produces 99 bhp and 166 Nm of torque and comes exclusively with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Designed for efficient daily driving, it delivers the highest fuel economy in the lineup with an ARAI-certified mileage of 19.4 kmpl.
1.3-litre Four-Cylinder Turbo-Petrol (T280): The more powerful engine generates 161 bhp and 280 Nm of torque, catering to buyers seeking stronger performance. With the 6-speed manual transmission, it offers a claimed mileage of 17.8 kmpl, while the 6-speed wet dual-clutch automatic (DCT) variant delivers slightly better efficiency at 18.5 kmpl.
A strong start for Nissan's New Midsize SUV
With a well-equipped base variant, strong safety rating and competitive fuel efficiency figures, the Nissan Tekton enters the midsize SUV segment with a strong overall package. These latest announcements demonstrate Nissan's focus on offering a balance of safety, practicality and value for money.
As deliveries begin, the Tekton will compete against established rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Renault Duster, making it one of the most closely watched launches in the segment.
