New Honda Amaze Offers Dealer Level Cng Kit Conversion For Eco Friendly Drivers

New Honda Amaze Offers Dealer-Level CNG Kit Conversion for Eco-Friendly Drivers

Honda Amaze Gets CNG Option for Petrol Variants

Honda has launched the new-generation Honda Amaze, and while the updated model does not include a factory-fitted CNG option, eco-conscious buyers can opt for a dealer-level CNG conversion. This move ensures that the Amaze remains a versatile and fuel-efficient choice in the compact sedan segment.

Unlike its rival, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which comes with a factory-installed CNG kit, Honda allows customers to retrofit the Amaze with a CNG kit at dealership facilities. These conversions are conducted at RTO-approved CNG fitment centers in collaboration with Honda dealers.

CNG Conversion: Available for Amaze MT

The CNG conversion option is restricted to manual transmission variants of the Amaze. The vehicle retains its 90hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine, but buyers should anticipate a slight reduction in power output, a common characteristic of CNG-powered vehicles. This option caters primarily to private buyers seeking affordability and fuel efficiency without compromising on reliability.

How the CNG Conversion Works

To convert their Honda Amaze to a petrol-CNG configuration, customers will first need to purchase the standard petrol model. Afterward, the dealership coordinates with an RTO-approved CNG fitment facility for the installation.

  • Manufacturer Warranty: Despite not being factory-installed, Honda ensures that all standard warranties remain intact. Buyers are required to sign additional documents at the dealership to avail of this warranty.

  • RTO Formalities: Post-installation, the dealer will assist in updating the vehicle's fuel type to petrol-CNG at the Regional Transport Office (RTO).

  • Cost: The CNG conversion is priced at approximately ₹1 lakh, though the final cost may vary depending on state taxes and other local levies.

Pricing and Delivery Timeline

The new Honda Amaze is priced between ₹8 lakh and ₹10.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India), depending on the variant. Test drives for the new-gen Amaze are set to begin next week, and deliveries are expected to commence by the end of December 2024.

A Smart Move for Honda Buyers

This dealer-level CNG kit conversion provides customers with an eco-friendly alternative while maintaining the car's competitive price point. With rising fuel prices and a growing emphasis on cleaner energy, this option could attract buyers who want the reliability of Honda coupled with the cost-efficiency of CNG.
