MG Motor has officially launched the Windsor EV in India, with an introductory price starting at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric crossover slots between the MG Comet EV and the ZS EV in MG's Indian EV portfolio. Available in three variants—Excite, Exclusive, and Essence—bookings will commence on October 3, with deliveries expected from October 12.
The Windsor EV also introduces a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) rental program, allowing customers to pay Rs 3.5 per km for usage, reducing the upfront cost and making it an affordable EV option.

The Windsor EV combines a minimalist exterior design with modern elements. Highlights include:
Connected LED DRLs and LED tail lamps for a sleek look.
18-inch aerodynamically styled alloy wheels and flush door handles for a modern appearance.
Available in four color options: Starburst Black, Pearl White, Clay Beige, and Turquoise Green.
Interior and Technology
Inside, the Windsor EV boasts an all-black cabin with wooden trim and bronze accents. Some standout features include:
15.6-inch touchscreen, the largest offered by MG in India.
8.8-inch digital driver’s display.
Panoramic glass roof, exclusive to the India-spec model.
Additional features like wireless charging, powered driver’s seat, automatic AC, and a 360-degree camera.
Powertrain and Charging
The MG Windsor EV is powered by a 38 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of 331 km. It produces 136 PS and 200 Nm of torque. Charging options include:
3.3 kW AC charger: 13.8 hours
7.4 kW AC fast charger: 6.5 hours
50 kW DC fast charger: 55 minutes
Customers will enjoy a lifetime warranty on the battery pack and one year of free public charging via MG’s eHUB app.

The MG Windsor EV competes with the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400 EV, and also targets the upcoming Tata Punch EV with its competitive pricing and feature set.
