MG Motor India, in collaboration with JSW, has achieved remarkable success with the launch of the MG Windsor EV. In October 2024, the Windsor sold 3,116 units, making up almost 30% of India’s total passenger EV sales. This strong performance underscores MG’s commitment to sustainable mobility and the increasing consumer interest in electric vehicles.
Record Sales for MG Motor India in October 2024
In addition to Windsor’s success, MG Motor India achieved its highest-ever monthly sales, with 7,045 units sold across all models, representing a 31% year-on-year growth. The company’s focus on its New Energy Vehicle (NEV) portfolio was a key driver, as NEVs accounted for 70% of total sales, highlighting the company’s leadership in the electric vehicle segment.
MG Windsor EV Pricing and Specifications
The three variants of MG Windsor are:
Excite: ₹13.50 lakh
Exclusive: ₹14.50 lakh
Essence: ₹15.50 lakh
Equipped with a 38kWh battery pack, the Windsor offers a range of up to 331 km on a single charge, ideal for urban driving. Its Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor delivers 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, with four driving modes—Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport—allowing drivers to customize their experience.
Advanced Features and Comfortable Interiors
The Windsor EV features a 15.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto for seamless connectivity. Comfort features include a four-way electrically adjustable passenger seat, rear Aero-Lounge seats that recline up to 135 degrees, and a 9-speaker Infinity sound system. The 360-degree camera, 256-color ambient lighting, and panoramic sunroof add luxury to the driving experience.
Safety and Security
Safety remains a priority with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), six airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, and rear AC vents to ensure a secure and comfortable ride for all passengers.
