The fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift has made a strong start in the Indian market, continuing the success of its predecessors. Since its launch on May 9, 2024, at a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh, the new Swift has generated over 40,000 bookings and dispatched 19,393 units to dealers in its first month.

VXI and VXI (O) Variants: Account for 60% of total bookings, indicating a preference for mid-spec models.
Entry-Level LXI Variant: Contributes 11% of the bookings.
Higher-end ZXI and ZXI+ Trims: Make up 19% of the total bookings.
AMT Variants: Modest Demand
Overall AMT Demand: Only 17% of new Swift buyers opt for AMT variants.
VXI AMT: Contributes 10% of total bookings.
ZXI and ZXI+ AMT: Combined share of 7%.
Engine and Performance
Powertrain: The new Swift is equipped with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine producing 82hp and 112Nm of peak torque.
Transmission Options: 5-speed manual (24.8kpl) and 5-speed AMT (25.75kpl).
Future Plans
