Current deliveries are limited primarily to these models, with a focus on manual transmission versions. Buyers receiving delivery notifications for the 4WD variant with an ivory interior have timelines extending to early or mid-2025, while those opting for the mocha brown interior may face waits well into 2026.
This longer wait applies to higher variants equipped with automatic transmission as well, showing that both customization choices and variant specifications are impacting delivery times.
How Buyers Can Secure Timely Delivery
Mahindra’s process for communicating delivery schedules is aimed directly at buyers, who must then inform their dealership about the estimated delivery date. Dealerships require this information to maintain accurate tracking and follow-up. However, if buyers fail to inform their dealerships within a week, their slot could be reallocated to another customer, underscoring the need for consistent communication.
Production Expansion to Meet Demand
To address this backlog, Mahindra has announced a production increase for the Thar Roxx, ramping up to 7,500 units per month by November. With this effort, Mahindra aims to reduce the prolonged wait times and accommodate its growing customer base. For those opting for the 3-door Thar, wait times have already decreased to 2-3 months, a sharp improvement from the initial 12-month waits reported.
As production capacity improves, Thar Roxx buyers can expect to see gradual decreases in wait times, helping more enthusiasts experience Mahindra’s rugged offering sooner.
