The MY26 Kia Carens Clavis EV gains two new trims in the GT-Line and X-Line, both available exclusively with the extended-range 51.4kWh battery pack and priced between Rs 23 lakh and Rs 25 lakh.
The 2026 update also introduces a six-seater configuration with second-row captain seats for the first time, available across multiple trim levels.
Two New Trims Join the Clavis EV Range, Priced from Rs 23 Lakh
Kia India has officially launched the updated 2026 Carens Clavis EV in the country, with prices starting at Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom). The headline additions for this model year are the GT-Line and X-Line trim levels, both of which are exclusive to the extended-range 51.4kWh battery variant and carry a price tag between Rs 23 lakh and Rs 25 lakh. Both configurations are on offer in either six- or seven-seat guises.
The GT-Line arrives in two sub-variants, GTX and GTX+, and brings a noticeably sportier personality to the Clavis EV. Visually, it stands out with a revised alloy wheel design, lime-coloured brake callipers, and metal pedals.
The X-Line, meanwhile, takes a different path altogether, leaning into a darker and more rugged identity. It is offered in an exclusive Dark Gun Metal exterior colour alongside Aurora Black Pearl.
On the technology front, both the GTX+ and the X-Line gain Digital Key and Battery Heater functionality as standard. Standard-range variants, for their part, receive newly designed 16-inch Black High Gloss Aero Alloy Wheels as part of the update.
Six-Seater Configuration Makes Its Debut Across the Range
Perhaps the most significant change for everyday buyers is the addition of a six-seater option.
The 2026 Carens Clavis EV now offers a six-seater configuration with second-row captain seats, available across select trims including HTX(E), HTX, HTX+, GTX, GTX+, and X-Line.
The seven-seater bench seat layout continues to be available on the GTX, GTX+, and X-Line trims. This is a meaningful move, acknowledging that a growing number of Indian families want the practicality of an MPV alongside the comfort levels typically associated with larger, more premium vehicles.

Inside the cabin, the Carens Clavis EV continues to offer a 10.5-inch panoramic display, over 85 connected car features, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
Safety provisions include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and Hill Start Assist Control. The vehicle is available in seven colour options, including Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Gray, Imperial Blue, Pewter Olive, Ivory Silver Matte, Aurora Black Pearl, and New Dark Gun Metal.
