Jeep and Citroen Cars to Cost More Starting January 2025

Stellantis India has announced that starting 1 January 2025, the prices of Jeep and Citroen vehicles will increase by up to 2%. This revision is attributed to rising input costs and fluctuating exchange rates, marking an important development for prospective buyers of these premium car brands.

Reason Behind the Price Hike

The automotive industry has been grappling with rising production costs due to inflation, supply chain disruptions, and fluctuating raw material prices. Commenting on the decision, Shailesh Hazela, Managing Director and CEO of Stellantis India, stated:

“Both Citroen and Jeep brands aim to offer customers greater value, and we have been extremely prudent to ensure the value quotient remains above par than what is being offered in the market. While the price revision is necessitated by increasing input costs and exchange rates, we stand steadfast in our commitment to continue to be focused on providing value, high quality, and a great driving experience to our customers.”

Despite the price hike, Stellantis remains committed to delivering high-quality vehicles that meet the evolving needs of Indian consumers.

Attractive Year-End Discounts Available

For those looking to buy a Jeep or Citroen car before the price hike, Stellantis India is offering year-end discounts until 31 December 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for potential buyers to save on their dream car before prices go up in the new year.

Whether you’re eyeing the rugged off-road capabilities of Jeep or the sophisticated design and comfort of Citroen, now is the time to make a purchase.

How Will the Price Hike Affect Buyers?

The 2% price increase, while relatively modest, can still have a noticeable impact on the final cost of premium cars like Jeep and Citroen.

For example:

  • Jeep Compass: Currently priced at ₹21.73 lakh (ex-showroom), the price may rise by approximately ₹43,460.

  • Citroen C3: Priced at ₹6.16 lakh (ex-showroom), the increase could be around ₹12,320.

Such hikes, though influenced by external factors, might sway potential buyers to take advantage of year-end offers to lock in existing prices.

Why Jeep and Citroen?

Jeep and Citroen have consistently delivered vehicles that blend cutting-edge technology, superior performance, and exceptional design.

Here’s what makes these brands stand out:

  • Jeep: Known for its rugged SUVs, Jeep combines off-road prowess with luxurious interiors, offering models like the Compass, Meridian, and Wrangler.

  • Citroen: A relatively newer entrant in India, Citroen focuses on unique design, advanced comfort, and competitive pricing, with models like the C3 and C5 Aircross gaining popularity.

Conclusion

The upcoming price hike on Jeep and Citroen models by Stellantis India reflects the rising challenges in the automotive sector. However, the company’s focus on delivering value and a superior driving experience remains unwavering.

If you’ve been planning to purchase a Jeep or Citroen car, this is your chance to make the most of the year-end discounts available until 31 December 2024. Don’t miss the opportunity to save before the prices go up in January 2025!
