Hyundai prepares 4 new SUVs for 2024

Hyundai prepares 4 new SUVs for 2024

This year, Hyundai has updated its smaller vehicles and launched new models such the Verna, Exter, and Ioniq 5. They want to completely redesign its SUV portfolio in India in 2024, bringing in the Creta, Alcazar, Tucson, and a brand-new Creta EV. Here's what to look for:

Hyundai Creta facelift: The exterior and interior of the Creta are getting completely upgraded. A new design that was inspired by Hyundai's global flagship, the Palisade, appears to be hinted at in spy photos. Expect new headlights, a grille, and LED daytime running lamps. Better technology will be found inside, including ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and a bigger infotainment screen. A more potent 1.5-liter turbo-petrol with 160 horsepower will be one of the new engine options. Additionally, in April or May of 2024, a sportier Creta N Line variant will be introduced.

Hyundai Alcazar facelift: The three-row Alcazar will receive its update after the Creta. Though specifics are few, it probably will resemble the revised Creta in terms of added features and minor design adjustments. Its engines and transmissions should stay the same, though.

Hyundai Tucson facelift: The global Tucson facelift included a substantial interior redesign but few outwards changes. While international models come with a variety of powertrain options, the Indian version could continue with its current 2.0-liter gasoline and 2.0-liter diesel engines which are connected to automatic gearboxes and have 156 horsepower and 186 horsepower, respectively. There may be an AWD system available as an option for the diesel version.

Hyundai Creta EV: The Creta is going to serve as the basis for Hyundai's first mass-market electric car in India. It will be similar to the upgraded Creta in look along with electric power. It is anticipated to feature a 45kWh LG Chem battery pack and a motor that produces about 138 hp and 255 Nm of torque, similar to the entry-level Kona EV. The MG ZS EV and Maruti's eVX will likely be competitors of the Creta EV.
