Hyundai Ioniq 5 N has made its world premiere at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex, England. Ioniq 5 N will represent the performance arm in the electric fleet.
It is based on the E-GMP platform housing an 84 kWh battery powering two motors mounted on both the axles. The combined output stands at 600 bhp. The company claims that the Ioniq 5 N can be charged from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 18 minutes and the range is yet to be announced. The company claims a 0-100 kmph dash in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 260 kmph.
The new Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is 4,715 mm long, 1,940 mm wide, 1,585 mm tall with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm and shod with 21-inch Pirelli P-Zero tyres. Braking duties are done by four piston 400 mm rotors up front and a 360 mm disc at the rear.
The N model is 20 mm lower, 50 mm wider and 80 mm longer than the standard version to accommodate the performance characteristics and purpose. Exterior elements include contrasting black trim parts and a wing-type rear spoiler, N Mask graphic fascia with functional mesh, air curtain, air flaps, and a lip spoiler among others.
The interior elements include N-branding on the steering wheel, seats, door scuff panels and metal pedals. The center console is optimised for track driving with knee pads and shin support as well as a sliding armrest. It also offers a C-type USB, wireless charger and cup holders.
The car is offered in 10 shades: Performance Blue Matte, Performance Blue, Abyss Black Pearl, Cyber Gray Metallic, Ecotronic Gray Matte, Ecotronic Gray , Atlas White Matte, Atlas White, Gravity Gold Matte and Soultronic Orange Pearl. The interiors are done in black with Performance Blue accents.
