Hyundai Creta crosses 1.17 Lakh Units sales in India in the year 2025

Hyundai Creta has once again shown its supremacy in the Indian automobile market. The SUV was the highest-selling car in the country with more than 1.17 lakh units being sold in the first half of the year 2025 (January - July). The accomplishment is carried out when the best-selling mid-size SUV celebrates its 10th anniversary in India, becoming the leader of market segments and customer admiration both in the gasoline and electric versions.

Hyundai Motor India has succeeded in putting one more feather on its cap, which is the sale of one more Creta SUV, reaching 1.17 lakh units in merely seven months of 2025. Not only does this cement its legacy as the best-selling SUV in the country, but it also wins the accolade of being the best-selling car in India as a whole in this period.

Creta has achieved a strong year-on-year growth of 8 per cent, taking its volume to a new high, according to Hyundai, which means that it is ahead of its competitors and still rules the mid-size SUV market. It has been immensely successful due to its balanced combination of style, performance, comfort, and range of powertrain choices, including petrol, diesel and electric.

Ten Years of Creta in India

Introduced ten years ago, Hyundai Creta has always been upgraded to cater to the requirements of consumers either in terms of design, features, or drivetrain technology.

The latest milestone is just synonymous with the fact that the SUV is 10 years old in India and it displays the timeless popularity of this instant classic.

With different trim options and feature sets, the Hyundai Creta is already available in the market at relatively affordable prices that can range starting at Rs 11.11 lakh (ex-showroom) to address a wide range of consumers.

Official Statement

Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and COO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., shared,

“As we celebrate a decade of the Hyundai Creta, we are truly humbled by the unwavering love and trust of our customers. Becoming India’s best-selling car across all segments in the January–July 2025 period is not just a sales milestone; it reflects the emotional connect that the Creta has built over the years. As we move ahead, our commitment remains steadfast to continuously raising the bar as well as the customer experience.”
