Hyundai Alcazar Facelift To Launch In India On September 9

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift To Launch In India On September 9

Hyundai is all set to launch the facelifted version of its Alcazar SUV in India on September 9, 2024. First introduced in June 2021, the three-row SUV is due for a mid-life update, and this facelift aims to refresh its appeal. The Alcazar had previously received an Adventure edition in August 2023, along with the previous generation of the Creta.

The 2024 Alcazar is expected to bring several design updates, mirroring those of the upcoming Creta facelift. Spy shots suggest that the new Alcazar will feature redesigned daytime running lights (DRLs), new LED headlamps, a revamped front grille, and updated alloy wheels. The rear of the vehicle might also see new taillamps and a reworked bumper. While these changes will bring it closer in style to the Creta, the Alcazar will maintain its unique identity, especially as it is a larger vehicle.

Inside, the Alcazar facelift is likely to mirror the updates seen in the Creta facelift. The SUV is expected to offer a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The refreshed model is also expected to continue offering both 6- and 7-seater configurations.

Under the hood, the facelifted Alcazar is anticipated to retain the existing engine options. This includes a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre diesel engine delivering 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. Both engines will likely be available with manual and automatic transmission options.

With the launch of the 2024 Alcazar, Hyundai is set to renew its rivalry with competitors like the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, and MG Hector Plus. The pricing for the updated model is expected to be slightly higher than the current range, which starts at Rs 16.78 lakh and goes up to Rs 21.28 lakh (ex-showroom).
