Hyundai Alcazar Facelift Bookings Open India Launch On 9 September 2024

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift: Bookings Open, India Launch on 9 September 2024

Hyundai has officially opened bookings for the facelifted Alcazar, the automaker’s popular three-row SUV, ahead of its scheduled launch on 9 September 2024. Customers can reserve their Alcazar by paying a booking amount of Rs 25,000. The refreshed model will continue to offer both six and seven-seat configurations, with six different color choices and two engine options available.

Design and Features

On the exterior, the facelifted Alcazar retains its robust frame but introduces new design elements, including low-set headlamps, distinctive ‘H’-shaped DRLs, and new 18-inch alloy wheels featuring a fan-like pattern. The rear of the SUV sees the most significant updates, with Hyundai incorporating its signature connected tail lamps with stacked elements, a redesigned rear spoiler, a high-mounted stop lamp, and a fresh look for the bash plate.

While Hyundai has yet to reveal the updated interior, it is expected to inherit the latest features from the Hyundai Creta, including level-2 ADAS technology in the automatic variants, enhancing safety and driver assistance capabilities.

Engine and Transmission Options

The new Hyundai Alcazar will be powered by two engine choices. The 1.5 Turbo GDi petrol engine will be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). For those who prefer diesel, the SUV will offer the 1.5 U2 CRDi engine, available with a six-speed manual transmission and a six-speed automatic transmission.

Hyundai's Statement on the Launch

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Tarun Garg, Director and Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India Limited, expressed excitement about the Alcazar's facelift. He emphasized the brand's commitment to offering a diverse and premium SUV portfolio, noting that the updated Alcazar promises to elevate comfort, luxury, and versatility in the segment. With over 75,000 satisfied customers, the Alcazar has been a well-received model in India, praised for its spacious interiors and reliable performance.

The facelifted Hyundai Alcazar is poised to continue this success, offering advanced technology, enhanced safety features, and a distinct road presence, making it a strong contender in the SUV market.
