Honda Cars reported domestic sales of 7,072 units in March 2024. By contrast, in March 2023 the company reported 6,692 units sold domestically and 3,189 units exported.
In comparison to the 1,14,140 units sold in FY 22–23, HCIL sold a total of 1,24,173 units in the fiscal year 2023–24, including both domestic and export sales. During FY 22–23, the company sold 22,722 units abroad and 91,418 units domestically. These numbers have significantly shown Honda's continuous market presence and the momentum in both domestic and foreign sales.

For Honda Cars India, the release of the Honda Elevate SUV in the Indian market in 2023–2024 was a crucial decision. As it resulted in large popularity and success, this SUV has increased exports as well as domestic sales. Also, Elevate has played an essential part in assisting Honda in expanding its export business by introducing Japan as a new destination and fortifying its position in the SUV industry.
Kunal Behl, the Vice president of marketing and sales at Honda Cars India stated on the fiscal year sales performance, saying, "We made a strong entry into the booming SUV segment with the Honda Elevate, which has received an overwhelming response from customers nationwide. 2023–24 has been an important year for HCIL. The Elevate has developed into a solid commercial pillar that boosts our exports by adding Japan as a new market while also making a major contribution to our domestic sales.”
The company’s domestic sales stood at 91,418 units and export at 22,722 units during FY 22-23.
