Honda Amaze ZX Takes the Spotlight in Third-Gen Lineup
The recently launched third-generation Honda Amaze is creating waves in the compact sedan segment. With prices starting at Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Amaze is already gathering strong interest from customers.
Notably, the top-spec Amaze ZX variant has emerged as the star, accounting for 60% of total bookings so far.
Feature-Rich Amaze ZX Stands Out
Priced at Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the Amaze ZX is loaded with advanced features that elevate its appeal. A key highlight is the segment-first camera-based ADAS system, providing enhanced safety and driver assistance.
The ZX variant also boasts:
15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels
LED projector headlamps
Wireless charging
Rear AC vents
Lane-watch and rear-view cameras
Auto headlamps and wipers
Additionally, Honda offers an optional seat cover accessory with ventilation and massage functions, catering to comfort-focused buyers.
Comparison with Rivals: Amaze vs. Dzire
The Amaze ZX goes head-to-head with its closest rival, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire ZXI+, launched in November. While the Dzire ZXI+ is priced lower at Rs 10.14 lakh, it offers a few additional features like a 360-degree camera and a sunroof—two omissions in the Amaze lineup.
However, Honda's focus on innovative safety and premium in-cabin features keeps the Amaze competitive.
Bookings and Delivery Timeline
Customer interest is expected to rise further as test drives begin on December 16, 2024, with deliveries commencing by late December. Honda dealers are gearing up for this phase, aiming to sustain the momentum generated by the Amaze ZX.
Why the Amaze ZX is Winning Customers
The success of the ZX variant lies in its balance of modern safety, convenience, and style. The inclusion of camera-based ADAS, along with the refinement and reliability Honda is known for, positions it as a premium choice in the compact sedan category.
