The Hero Karizma XMR is all set to make its comeback to the Indian two-wheeler market
The Hero Karizma was recently teased by the manufacturer and now they have announced the launch of the bike on August 29, right before the festive season kicks off. The Karizma had a solid fan following and it is a right move to capitalize on that with new Hero Karizma XMR 210 specifications. It is expected to house a 210-cc, liquid-cooled engine mated to a five-speed gearbox pushing around 25 bhp and 20 Nm of torque. Going by the images, it has quite the street presence, it comes with a fairing and a bikini cowl over the dash. The suspension duties are done by a telescopic unit up front and a monoshock at the rear.
The braking system includes petal discs on both wheels. The front section houses LED headlamp setup with integrated turn indicators. The clip-on handlebar unit is raised, making the rider triangle a little aggressive. The digital dash could be similar to that on the Xpulse 200 with turn-by-turn navigation. The Karizma XMR 210 parts include a split seat setup that accents the sporty look. It also gets ABS rings at both ends, making it the first Hero bike to have dual-channel ABS setup.
A closer look at the bike reveals silver accents on the bike along with the dual-tone theme of the bike. Apart from the large fairing, the engine also gets a cowl for protection. The exhaust is also upswept in its angle, adding to the sporty look, especially with the silver accents on it. The bike gets a center stand as well. We can expect Bluetooth connectivity and a USB port along with the Hero Karizma XMR 210 accessories.
We can expect the bike to be introduced in the market around the festive season or close to it. The Hero Karizma XMR 210 price in India is expected to be around Rs. 1.70-1.80 lakh, and will lock horns with the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, Bajaj Pulsar 200, and Yamaha R15 to name a few.
