Heres A List Of The Top 5 Upcoming Car Launches In India

Here’s a list of the top 5 upcoming car launches in India

As temperatures rise, the Indian automobile industry is preparing for a slew of new launches. If you’re in the market for a new vehicle and not in a hurry, it may be prudent to wait for the upcoming models detailed below. The top five vehicles, ranging from hatchbacks to SUVs, promise to be worth the anticipation.

Force Gurkha

The no-nonsense Force Gurkha, also popularly referred to as the desi G-Wagon, is known for its impressive performance on challenging terrains akin to the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. It is powered by Mercedes-Benz’s 2.6-litre diesel engine and is expected to retain the 5-speed manual transmission with no apparent automatic option. Reports suggest that the 2025 Gurkha might introduce an engine start-stop feature. The new Gurkha will be offered in both three-door and, for the first time, five-door versions. Teasers from the company hint at a larger touchscreen and an all-digital instrument cluster. The upcoming 5-door Gurkha will feature a three-row seating configuration and an updated shift-on-fly 4WD system.

Mahindra XUV 3X0

Mahindra is set to release the next-generation XUV300, now known as 3X0, featuring the segment's first dual-pane panoramic sunroof. Safety features are expected to include an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). The interior will see refinements, with elements borrowed from the recently updated XUV400 such as twin 10.25-inch infotainment screens, front ventilated seats, and a 360-degree camera. Exterior updates will include modernized aesthetics, a new front fascia, and connected LED tail lights. The XUV 3X0 will retain three engine variants – 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.2-litre turbo petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift made its international debut at the Tokyo Mobility Show, featuring a larger, more aggressive front grille, along with new headlamps and revised front and rear bumpers. The interior is expected to take cues from the Fronx model, incorporating a new 9-inch touchscreen display, cabin design elements, and steering wheel. The new Swift will be equipped with the Z Series 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine in place of the existing 1.2-litre 4-cylinder option. The updated powertrain will come with the choice of a 5-speed manual transmission and an AMT.

Tata Altroz Racer

Ever since Tata unveiled the Altroz Racer at the 2023 Auto Expo and showcased it at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo early this year, the sporty hatchback has garnered significant attention. The Altroz Racer will sport a dual-tone paint scheme with racing stripes on the bonnet. Expect notable features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, front-ventilated seats with heating functions, a 360-degree camera, a voice-controlled sunroof, and a 10.25-inch infotainment system. The Altroz Racer will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine generating 118bhp and 170 Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Hyundai Alcazar

The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar, although relatively discreet, is set to undergo significant updates. Design enhancements will mirror those of the 2024 Creta, extending to the cabin as well. The revamped Alcazar will feature a panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, a dual 10.25-inch display, and a key addition of ADAS technology.

The SUV will maintain its 1.5-liter turbo petrol and 1.5-liter diesel powertrains, offering 158bhp and 114bhp respectively. Both engines will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission and automatic options, with the turbo variant boasting a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and the diesel equipped with a 6-speed torque converter.
