Exciting New Car Launches ready to Wrap Up 2024

As 2024 draws to a close, the automotive industry is far from slowing down. December brings an array of exciting new car launches and unveilings, catering to diverse tastes and preferences. From stylish sedans to versatile SUVs, here’s what’s making waves this month.

Skoda Kylaq: Compact SUV with Competitive Pricing

Before diving into the upcoming launches, Skoda has unveiled the full price list of its newest compact SUV, the Kylaq. Positioned as Skoda's smallest and most affordable SUV, it aims to attract value-conscious buyers. Price will vary from ₹7.89 lakh (starting price) to ₹14.40 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This introductory pricing is expected to hold steady for the foreseeable future.

New Honda Amaze: Launching on December 4

The much-awaited new Honda Amaze is expected to mark its entry in the automobile market on December 4. With its striking resemblance to a shrunken Honda City, the Amaze gets a refreshed exterior and a premium interior that draws inspiration from the Honda Elevate SUV. Leaked images reveal an upgraded cabin with enhanced quality and features compared to its predecessor.

Mechanically, the Amaze retains its 1.2-litre petrol engine, available with both manual and automatic transmissions. Aimed squarely at competitors like the recently launched Maruti Dzire, the Amaze is expected to attract buyers looking for an affordable yet feature-rich sedan.

New Toyota Camry: Debuting on December 11

The next-generation Toyota Camry brings luxury and sophistication to the sedan segment. Built on the modular TNGA-K platform, the new Camry sports an evolved design with a Lexus-like aesthetic. Slightly longer than its predecessor but with the same wheelbase, it offers a refreshed cabin featuring a redesigned dashboard, twin digital screens, and a host of new features.

Under the hood, it retains the 2.5-litre petrol engine paired with two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 227hp. The new Camry aims to solidify its position as a premium hybrid sedan with superior comfort and technology.

Kia Syros: Global Unveil on December 19

Set to unleash on December 19, Kia Syros is positioned above the Kia Sonet. This compact SUV features a tallboy design with enhanced rear-seat comfort. It’s Powertrain options include a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, with an electric variant expected later.

The Syros is inspired by the flagship Kia EV9 and aims to address cabin space concerns while delivering cutting-edge design. Pricing will be announced in January, making it one to watch in 2025.

This December, automakers are ensuring 2024 ends on a high note, offering exciting choices for every type of car buyer.
